Apartment Incognito

The host Merjem and her father are very warm and kind. I was provided with recommendations which really helped. The apartment is very nice and was kept very clean. Overall loved the place and highly recommend this it.

Meryem and her father Adnan were very helpful and sincere. The apartment was very clean. I really recommend anyone who will visit Sarajevo.

Firstly, it’s spotlessly clean. The apartment has various amenities, like shower gel, shampoo, hairdryer, all the kitchen stuff, coffee, tea, water, city guides and maps included. The hosts are very welcoming as well. The neighborhood is cool as well. Wifi was good in the bedroom.

The apartment was in a quiet neighborhood and even though it is on the ground floor, it opens up into a courtyard that is accessible only by an exterior gate/door. So, it felt very secure. It also well-furnished and had everything I needed for an 11-night stay: herbal tea bags, spices and oil for cooking, washing machine, drying rack, dishes and kitchenware, plus cleaning supplies. It was very easy to communicate with the host, Merjem, for any additional cleaning supplies or fresh towels that I needed. Her father also picked me up from and drove me to the airport for both of my flights for a small additional fee, which was very convenient.

This isn’t strictly a negative, but the apartment is located uphill from the old town center/Baščaršija and it’s a bit of a climb to come back. There are three local buses (pay the driver directly for the fare and ride two stops from Baščaršija) that stop at the base of the small hill of the apartment’s street if you don’t want to walk all the way back from the city center. However, there is still the short hill to climb at the end that can’t be avoided.

The apartment is equipped with clean everything and is located in a very calm and quiet area with a wonderful panorama. Comfortable beds. The apartment is located at the top of a hill, but this does not take anything away from the value of the place / Sarajevo is surrounded by mountains on all sides / because it is a very nice and cozy neighborhood, where you can reach the old town with a very scenic and short walk, but the extraordinary Yellow Fortress is a 5-minute walk away, which is one of the most atmospheric panorama in the city. The hosts are friendly, hospitable people with good English skills, as well as helpful and reliable information about the best places to see, places to eat, and transportation. Sarajevo is an extraordinary place /love at first sight/ and Bosnian people are open and friendly. We will definitely be back :)

The only thing is that, we didn't spend more days in this wonderful place.

The host is very friendly and welcoming! He gave us very good recommendations for our stay in Sarajevo. He reservated us a parking spot, gave us a beer when we arrived and helped us whenever we had questions. It was a pleasure to stay in Apartment Incognito 😊

Self catering, many facilities, host was very friendly and helpful. She collected me from the coach station although I had a job getting a signal on my phone. My coach was almost 2 hours later than anticipated, but she still came out to get me gone midnight. She also took me back to the coach station at 6.30 in the morning when I left.

The property was up a very steep hill high up in the mountains although a bus takes you nearly to the apartment. The access to the apartment was behind steel doors, and was difficult to work out which one it actually was. It was a really cold day when I arrived at the end of May, but my host put the heating on for a short while. I also had to put the extra duvet on the bed.

My second travel to sarajevo and stayed again here. Merjem is very good and helpful person. You can find everything that you need at home. you need to go up the hill due to location but its not a problem for like this home. And also you can go to home by bus or taxi. There are some markets and some places that buying foods around home. And also near to many touristic place. Home has good Sarajevo landscape. if you want hang out being a local in traveling i recommend this place.
