Apartment Sandeman

Sehr schöner Wohnraum mit traumhaftem Ausblick. Die Lage direkt an der Promenade ist fantastisch. Super war auch, dass man von der Küche auch aufs Meer schauen konnte. Insgesamt war die Größe der Wohnung für uns ausreichend, sie war insgesamt sauber und freundlich eingerichtet. Sehr gut, dass es einen Fahrstuhl gab.

Die Küchenutensilien waren teilweise sehr alt und schmutzig. Das Öffnen des einzigen Fensters in den Schlafräume waren nur zu öffnen, nachdem man die Gardinenstange abmontiert hat. Durch die Glasbausteine im Kinderzimmer leuchtete die ganze Nacht die Lampe im Flur, sodass es sehr hell im Zimmer war.

The apartment is astonishing! The view was one of the best in my life, unforgivable panorama, we all enjoyed looking at the sea and the beautiful sunset. The photos on booking website are UNFAIR to reality, because the view on reality much more amazing than photos. The size of the apartment is perfect for family, even big family. Its clean, neat and amazing. It is an old apartment but everything in good shape. Felt like home except with a great view. 100% safe area, safe building, I had zero worries on my family and my 1 year old daughter. She enjoyed every minute in the apartment and the beach. Location is perfect, I bet anyone to get a better location, count 20 steps and your feet will touch the sand. BTW, the beach is the cleanest I have ever seen. Non of all the beaches I crossed as its' cleanness. Rescue team are every few tens of meters, this apartment, this beach, this area, felt like a gem. There is a restaurant right in front of the building that serves octopus, I dare you not trying it, its delicious, lovely staff and calm vibes. Felt like a honeymoon meal! I can go on and on with the positivities, but a one thing is a must to share: Nadia, the apartment manager, a sweet, generous, kind woman. She has been responsive, extremely polite, and helpful. A woman that you can not forget even when you meet her for 10 minutes. I wish her happiness and love.

Serious Problem: Important note, distinguish between the apartment owner and the apartment manager (Nadia). When I booked via booking website, it said "Pay at property" and had no option to pay online whatsoever. After my booking confirmation by a couple of days, the owner sent me a message via Booking saying "I see no payment from your end, if you do not pay, I'll ask Booking to cancel and fees". My brain boiled, like what is this stupid message! He put the only option to "pay at property" and now he says "i see no payment from your end", like what is he talking about. I plan 99% of my trips in advance, and pay in advance, so I buy peace of mind for me and my family. But this message made me very nervous. I told him that you have no option to pay online, and its not logical to threat a client with cancellation and insanity. Long story short, we exchanged many messages back and forth, and booking support was USELESS; He sent me bank information but I could not transfer for technical reasons, also he said that he has no PayPal, no visa machine, nothing. At the end he said "as exception i will accept cash". The nervousness he caused all the seven days prior my check-in date was really bad and stupid. He almost abused my trip happiness. I did not wanna lose the booking as I promised my family with the high expectations at the same time the owner started with insane message and kept pushing me feeling that the booking is unsafe and there is a possibility of our reach and find no responsiveness, that disturbance extended until before 2 days of the check-in. As I carry almost no cash in my travels, I had to withdraw the cash amount to pay the very nice manager (Nadia), that withdrawal cost me around 54$. Like money went to trash for a very awkward So, my advice to everyone, arrange payment the moment you book this apartment, the owner is strange in the financial matter!

Location

. Building full of (noisy) workmen who filled lift with their tools. Lift unreliable stops between floors. Shower floor very slippy for older occupant. Apart from salt, absolutely nothing provided. Only contact with owner (?) one short phone call, no one there on arrival, no one turned up for departure.

The view and location. Was very easy to get there from the Panne train station, Also we could enjoy the beach in a few steps of the Apartament. The apartament is sourrended by a lot of restaurants so you have plenty of options if you dont want to cook.

The pillows

We loved everything: location , good quality of beds (including bed bunks), the view, the elevator , etc. Perhaps it is the best place in De Panne.

Not really a big deal: it would be good to have the options of towels, pillow cases , etc. available for an extra charge. Perhaps that could be a direct income for the lady who runs that appartement.
