stay at durbuy

L’emplacement à côté du parking est super pour décharger. La cuisine hyper équipée, le décodeur Proximus et la petite terrasse avec sa table et ses chaises. Les petits glaçons déjà préparé dans le congélateur, ainsi que le petit cadeau en arrivant une bouteille de bière, de la région et un paquet de chips.

Honnêtement rien, tout était parfait. La seule petite chose que j’aurais à dire, c’est de possiblement mettre plusieurs poubelles pour effectuer correctement le triage des déchets. La moustiquaire qui tape dans la fenêtre de la terrasse quand il y a beaucoup de vent. Un petit essuie vaisselle aurait été top. mais ce sont vraiment des petits détails par rapport à toute la qualité de l’établissement.

It's a beautiful gîte in a lovely village, with the view onto the fields and plenty of walks to enjoy. It's homely, well appointed, quiet, there are comfortable amenities and appliances, all sparkling clean. It was nice and warm and we could control the temperature which is not always possible. Celine is a lovely, friendly and helpful host, she met us at the station and delivered to the apartment with a short stop at the supermarket. It wa really greatly appreciated as there were no taxis at the station when we arrived. There was a bottle of local beer included, which was very nice. We had a great stay, a couple of nice walks to Durbuy - it's aboutb 2.5 km across the forest. Thank you very much Celine, we really enjoyed our stay! All the best, Maria

Alles perfect in orde ...

The apartment is lovely, very warm homely feel to it, even a large bottle of Belgium beer & large bag of crisps on arrival, nice touch.Clean, spacious, well equipped, comfortable. Good parking. Nice quiet location. Approx 25 mins walk into Durbuy. Really nice place to stay.

It doesnt state on the description that the apartment is located on a holiday/resort park - although a very nice one that fits in lovely with the surrounding greenery and trees, it’s also a very quiet one too, but the location wasnt what I expected. We received an email 5 or 6 days before our stay about checking in procedures, as it was in french & we were travelling around to quite a few different properties in various countries, I didnt google translate it until we actually arrived in Belgium. Where I read that there was an extra charge of 5€ per person for towels and bed linen - which I wasnt aware of. I replied and apologised for my late response & asked if I could pay for the bed linen and towels, I didnt receive a reply. When we arrived surprised at the ‘holiday park’, luckily for us the reception was still open & we enquired about the bed linen & towels. It cost us 40 euros to hire them for our one night stay. I emailed the host and received a reply 2 hours later apologising that they’d had a problem with internet, saying the bed linen & towels were in a locked cupboard within the apartment. Too late, we’d already paid 40 euros and were in Durbuy having our evening meal. Also the next morning when we leaving the host was waiting outside with cleaning stuff at 11am, the check out time clearly states 12 pm - we were leaving anyway so we didnt make a fuss, we just left. There was a weak apology about the bed linen/ towels mix up but no offer of any money back. - it left quite a bitter taste.

Good position, nice ambience.

The apartment was good but not super clean. We found several dead insects here and there. Spiders in the bathroom and the bathroom ventilation was on 24/7, really annoying.
