Maison Noordburg Veurne

The apartment is nicely furnished, clean and well equipped. The hosts were responsive and helpful. The proximity to town is walkable. Veurne is beautiful and I would visit again.

Lots of work going on outside, lots of lorries and cranes creating a lot of noise and dust, so unable to sit outside. Not the hosts fault at all and I am sure it will be lovely when it is completed. It just didn't make our experience the best.

Our second visit here we love the location as we were on a cycling holiday and the cycle path is right outside.

The building of a new bridge next to the property was noisey at times. The direct route to the apartment was blocked off but as we had been before we knew how to get to it.

Direkt vor dem Haus eine Großbaustelle. Ausschlafen war nicht möglich, da die Bauarbeiten ab 06:00 Uhr morgens begonnen haben( Kompressor lief von 06:00 - 17:57 Uhr ) Viel Durchgangsverkehr vorm Balkon der Richtung Kanal sich befindet( Fahrradfahrer, Motorräder, Spaziergänger, Autos, Baustellenfahrzeuge)

There are definite plus points: the living space is comfy and quite spacious, the kitchen and bathroom are well equipped. The hosts are great communicators. It is a short walk into the town centre (which is lovely).

The property is tired and needs some updating, as does some of the fixtures/fittings/furniture. The current construction nearby (literally outside the windows) is significant. There is currently no parking at the property, the walk to town was through the middle of the construction site, and on one day the works started at 0700 😳 - not the most relaxing environment for a holiday. I absolutely get this is not the fault of the hosts and is totally beyond their control, however it could be reflected in the listing.

Good location, close to town centre, well equipped apartment. Free parking next to appartment was a definite plus.

A lot of roadworks going on adjacent to appartment, proving how we'll sound proofed it is!! Not the fault of the owners!!

Excellent apartment next to canal and a short walk into town. The host communication was good and provided lots of information on how to access the property. The apartment was bright and spacious with good attention to details. Good heating system for the cooler evenings. Parking is usually just outside the property but current canal and road works has removed some spaces so is quite competitive. Kitchen area is modern and very functional but a microwave would have been useful. A great place to stay for a short break and to discover Veurne. Excellent value too.

Large warm apartment

The property is spacious, well equipped, even a Senseo coffee machine which I like, very comfortable & extremely relaxing. If the weather is good there is a small patio overlooking the cycle path, road & canal, bare in mind you are on the ground floor so there is plenty of interactions with passers by, which we like. Very quiet in the evening despite only being 5 mins walk to the centre of Veurne. For cyclists like us it is perfect, safe storage, local cycle routes & for the keen eyed a few Pros pass by training in the area.

Slight creek when getting in or out of bed.
