Golden Dome view Apartment

Asansör sıkıntılıydı .

The apartment is as advertised. It had everything that we needed for our stay. It has air conditioning, which was very handy because it's on a noisy street which means keeping the windows closed. The bathroom and kitchen were well stocked. Good and close transportation options.

We were a bit surprised by the exterior of the building, which looks rather run down compared to the new, nice apartment that we stayed in. The elevator is quite old fashioned and as the apartment is on the 5th floor, I was afraid that it would not work and I would be walking up the stairs with heavy bags. Thankfully, it didn't happen, but it made me quite nervous.

Very comfortable apartment right in the centre of Sofia, on short walking distance from several main attractions and parks. Nicely furnished and decorated. It feels more like a home than just a holiday apartment. It's spacious enough for two people, also for a longer stay. Supermarkets are all around, the closest is about 150 meters! It's a small one but it basically offers everything you need. There's coffee and tea in the kitchen, and also several kinds of dry food like muesli and herbs. The washing machine is hidden in the kitchen, neatly behind 2 doors, and it works very well. Also a drying rack is available, unfortunately it doesn't fit on the cute but very small balcony. The outside of the building looks old and a bit shabby, but once you are inside the apartment you will be surprised. The elevator is ancient, but it works fine. Host Nikolay is very responsive, replying almost immediately to your questions and offering a lot of information regarding checking in with the locker box, complete with pictures. Very easy to accomplish.

It's not about 'not liking', but rather inconvenient that the shower drain can't handle the water, which results in a small flood in the entire bathroom. This is really the only remark and I will certainly be back when I return to Sofia.

The apartment is extremely well equipped for a long stay. Everything you need is available. The apartment has been completely renovated and is very comfortable. The location is a short walk into town, grocery store is on the same street and a bakery and coffee shop only steps away. Great and prompt communication with Nikolay. I would highly recommend staying here.

The lift was either out of service or was so slow we thought it was out of service. We walked the 5 floors up. This is only a problem if you are bringing very heavy suitcases. At night, the lights do not come on on every floor. However the flashlight on your phone should take care of that.
