Into The BLUE, 4 guests, 5 min away from the BEACH

The apartment Into the Blue is located on the ground floor (yet with some steps to climb, so not accessible to people on wheelchairs). It consists of two room: a living room with a kitchenette and a bedroom. In the living room there’s a dining table, a couch and a TV. The kitchenette section is fully equipped: there’s a big fridge, a cooker, an over, a microwave oven, a coffee machine (yet not the one on photos, but a simpler one) and an electric kettle. Necessary dishes, cutlery etc. are also provided. For those coming for longer it’s important that there’s also a washing machine. In the bedroom there’s a big bed and a wardrobe. For those coming with babies there’s a baby crib. Bed linen and towels are provided. The apartment has some other advantages. Mainly, it’s location is very good as virtually all key spots in the city are within walking distance: the main pedestrian street Knyaz Boris or the roman thermae are less than 5 min away, while the beach & the maritime museum less than 10 min. There’s a supermarket just on the corner & many other shops, restaurants and other premises within walking distance. If one comes by car one can find some parking spaces in front or nearby the apartment, but it costs 1 BGB per hour (with maximum stay of 3h) or pay upfront 16 BGN for the whole day. On Booking there’s response of the owner from some years ago that during weekends it’s free, but it has changed since then and now it paid 7 days a week. Unfortunately, there are no parking meters, one can pay using Bulgarian phones or an app (which is only in Bulgarian, but accepts foreign cards). Else, within 2-3 min of walking there are at least two parking lots that cost 2 BGN 1st hour, 1 BGN each following and maximum 12 BGN per day (prices as of May 2024) and can be paid with cash. The contact with the owner was very good, before arrival he provided instructions how to retrieve keys and during stay he was always ready to provide required information.

We booked many places through Booking com and unfortunately it’s the first case in several years that we believe that the rating is overestimated. And we would agree with somebody’s else comment that photos unfortunately don’t reflect the reality. In principle it’s an older apartment and someone tried to refresh it with some new elements (like the kitchen) albeit with lower quality. The biggest challenge is that many items requires fixing, for example in bedroom the bed’s frame disintegrating, the curtain falls down since the rod lacks the stopper, while the blinder rod is bent; in the living room some of the kitchen’s doors are not correctly fixed, the curtain rode is about to fall down, same as some shelves; in the bathroom there’s no any shower’s curtain so water is spilling around, also on the water boiler, which is a bit scary since it’s connected to electricity – in fact water is slowly damaging it, but signs of rust someone fixed by placing stickers on them. Another scary thing is an electricity socket hanging under the sink. There are more items that require attention and cleanliness is also an issue, not to mention e.g. stains on the couch or armchair, or lot of dust. A good idea would be to remove some of the decoration or plants (that require more watering anyway) so it would be easier to clean. Most of deficiencies can be probably fixed within two days, so hopefully the necessary updates will be done to explore the full potential of the apartment.

Location was ok, not far from beach, still so walking to get there. The apartment was cozy and clean (event though the photos on Booking shows it nicer that it is) but still we could enjoy our stay there as we found all we needed to our stay; supermarket is very closed!

Great location close to the city center and the beach. The communication with the host is very easy.

It needs a good cleaning.
