Huswell - Centrally located apartment with sunny terrace

Location is great, close to center and the beach but still rather peaceful. Appartment is excellent. Everything you might need is there and also very tastefully decorated so you feel very relaxed. Very comfortable beds. A lot of light in the appartment and great roof terrace.

The rooms of the apartment are on the floor above. That was not mentioned in the description on booking. Someone with issues climbing upstairs might not like that. Check-in and check out time is rather severe, so check in only from 17h and check out already from 10am, sounds not appealing. If I knew that in advance, I would think twice. Finally, Huswell sends too many emails, which is very disturbing. For a 2 day stay that I desperately need to rest and take a break, I got tens of emails that are supper irritating when you are just tired and need a break. Instead of enjoying the holiday, I had to read all the emails. It's really annoying.

Cleanliness, distance to beach, roof terrace, appartement is well equipped.

1. Check in only at 17:00 (earlier check in is expensively paid), while checkout was at 10:00 sharp the latest 2. Had to pay €60 for bedlinnen, €50 for a pet. I bet no traces of the pet are apparent so I paid for nothing. If you don't take the bedlinnen option, they remove pillows and blankets (confirmed by staff) so that's not really an option unless you feel like bringing pillows and blankets. At this price this should be included. 3. Booking process continues after Booking.com and was via a clunky old fashioned website. Booking.com should not have this listing as booking on Booking.com is only the beginning. All the extras to the tune of at least 25% of the original booking come after... The lady at the chat was helpful and polite. 4. Location: Very loud street in which wildly drunken people pass all night in the weekend. 5. During the night the fire alarm went off with no smoke or fire around. No one in the building could switch it off so we spent at least 45 minutes with a fire alarm before the fire dpt took care of it. The listing management company replied to my message after the fact. 6. Neighbor(s?) smokes in the corridor and lift. This neighbor was moving and left furniture in front of our door on a daily basis. This neighbor also woke us up one morning to open the door downstairs as he or a quest of his forgot the key...
