Апартамент Самоводската чаршия

Very friendly and flexible host! I spontaneously had to change my estimated arrival time due to multiple railway delays - it was no problem at all! The accommodation is located directly at Самоводска чаршия (Samovodska Charshia Market), one of the main tourist spots in Veliko Tarnovo - you literally just have to step out of the door. Perfect!

The bed used to squeak when I rolled over - which for me was not a big deal since I was travelling on my own. But this could potentially annoy other guests if staying as a couple or with more persons.

Apartment is big, exactly as in the description, very nice large bathroom (and yes you will shower all over the bathroom, but we learnt this is specific to Bulgaria accommodations, we have seen this even in hotels, but for us was fine, no big deal). Coffee in the house, fridge, very powerful AC's in all rooms. And you need it as there are no windows to the outside. And in Summer time (and weekends especially) is just fine as there are no insects, no noise from the busy streets around. And you will be out and walking and visiting all day any way. Amazing stores just on the street with the apartment, very close to walk to the Tsaravets fortress and to Gurko street. Nice host, they will in touch with you on WhatsApp and will provide all the information. Everything clean, cozy, and just perfect for a nice stay in the city of Veliko.

The only things we did not liked were the parking area and the main bed. I know parking was not included and we knew how difficult was to park in Veliko city center, so just for everybody to be advised. You will find parking spaces in the main square near the apartment street or in the streets around, but it's very hard to drive around the narrow streets and to actually park and move the car around. Main bed was too squeaky on one of the sides and you can not sit on it in the front as very soft. It was hard at night to move from on side to another while sleeping without being awake by the cracks noises.

The apartment was extra clean - the big score for cleanliness on booking.com is not a joke 😁 The location is extremely well placed, in the middle of historic city - you can reach all interesting spots just by walking, no need to take the car. The host was lovely and helped us with restaurant recommendations and very promptly answered to anything we asked.

The parking is difficult in the area (very understandably, taking into account the act that the apartment is in the old town), but I managed 😁

Great apartment, great location, great communication in english via Booking and Whatsapp, very kind and helpful host. He helped us find a parking place, he helped us with our luggage, he recommended us restaurants and places to visit. Thank you Tsetso!

The extendable sofa, although large and in very good condition, a little uncomfortable for sleeping. If it had been a bed like in the bedroom it would have been perfect. Otherwise, nothing to complain about
