Apartamento Praia Grande

The condo is well-located and spacious, featuring a large veranda.

There are several significant issues to address. The most notable problem is the unpleasant odor that permeates the apartment during windy conditions. The cleanliness of the unit was subpar, and there was no provision for drinking water, as there were no filters on the faucets, wall-mounted systems, or bottled water available. The linens were old and lacked flat sheets for the beds we used. The shower in the suite was also problematic, with a malfunctioning electric shower head. Additionally, the kitchen light was faulty, flickering on and off continuously, and there was no hair dryer provided.

It is very close to the beach , there are 4 within 20/25 mins walk each offering something different . The pool is great with a life guard with children’s safety in mind . Would stay here again for sure as the host was very accommodating and helpful .

Occasionally you get a whiff from the sanitation plant but that did not put us off. The apartment is on the opposite side and far away enough not to be of concern .

The unit has good quality architecture features, with good comfortable beds, soft towels. It’s located at a calm side of Arraial do Cabo. Access to the beach is very tough, has a large stretch of very hot sand until the water front. Consider wear tennis shoes to get through the dunes. The unit offers just a small view to the sea.

The photo of the apartment in the Booking.com add wasn’t the same of the apartment we received. Probably the owner has many units in the building. Some disproportionately big items decorate the unit. There wasn’t a complete cutlery service for setting a proper table for three persons. Very low quality dinner service. Dinner table is in reality a “aparador” used as a dinner table, which is about 10cm higher than a dinner table height norm. Very hard pillows to sleep. Could have had soft ones among them.

Cleanliness, security, there is a pool and a bar and it is close to the beach. It is spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. Sunchairs and umbrella provided.

Only good location if you have a car - felt uncomfortable to walk at night from the town but there was nothing around to eat/drink so going to town was a must. Only gave us 2 rolls of toilet paper - no resupply. Told us there was no option to leave our luggage after check out (very inconvenient)... we did manage to leave our luggage with the security in a locked storage, just wish this was something the owners would have already taken into consideration. Also the smell on the balcony was too bad to hang out outside unfortunately.
