The bed was totally un comfortable. No air condition Too much insects And there was a maintenance running on the building just front of our balcony so the view of Eiger mountain wasnt as expected. Also it was noisy due to the maintenance work.

Excellent location, nice apartment with nice views of the Eiger

1) The property is managed by a rental office with fixed timings (closes for lunch). This office is a few minutes walk in a different direction from the train station (not in the direction of the apartment). Unlike other Airbnb's where they have a lockbox at the apartment for easy access to the keys, that doesn't to be an option for this apartment. Unlike other places, this process is designed more for the convenience of the rental company rather than the convenience of guests! 2) "For hygiene reasons" they provide no complementary/welcome basics like salt/sugar etc - seems like a very transactional behaviour on part of the rental company. In most other Airbnbs, they usually leave a bottle of milk, a little coffee, some salt and sugar, maybe even some fruits. Here - zilch. 3) Water pressure in all washbasins is very low, though the shower pressure is fine. This seriously needs fixing - poorly maintained 4) Found it odd that there were no curtains in the toilet downstairs - lack of privacy

Utensils, Pots and pans are good quality

4 of us cannot locate the apartment. GPS said we arrived, 1 minutes to address, but we had trouble to find the KIwi apartment.Asked people around and they were all tourists and didn’t know. We walked up and down the street still couldn’t find it. He heard thundering and rain came in the next 2 minutes. Finally a man helped us to walk the side lane and the apartment was way up the slope. Spillstattstrasse 22 , the 22 sign was so tiny.. took us 2 hours to find it, we were tired and exhausted. You need bigger signs for the address.

Nice apartment in good location

Broken plug on a lamp and ironing board cover off, but wasn’t a problem to me.

Starting off with the positives. I must say the chalet had lots of kitchen utensils and cutlery, which is great for those who may want to cook. This chalet is 2 minutes away from the Grindelwald train station and 4 minutes away from the nearest supermarket (Coop). You can also enjoy a view of the Eiger and the surrounding greenery from the balcony. The hair dryer that was originally provided made really abnormal noises and had a burning smell. We asked for a new hair dryer the next day. Luckily, the homeowner/company was able to provide a new and functioning hair dryer for us. However there were many flaws on the interiors of the chalet.

Here were the issues: There was water leakage from the bathroom shower on the 2nd floor which would drip down to the 1st floor. We didn’t immediately ask the homeowner/company to fix this issue because it would have been a disturbance to our stay. Utter annoyance. The detergent and bathroom soap dispenser was HALF EMPTY, which can only let us think that we were using the leftovers from the previous guest. Very unprofessional and unwelcoming to guests. Either refill it properly, or buy a new bottle. Furthermore, the lighting in the chalet, especially the living room, was extremely insufficient, we had to use our own portable USB torch to try to fix this issue, and then sit really close to each other, sharing the limited lighting. The materials of the furnishing in the house was very old. The wooden floors and the wooden cabinets were creaking. Also, the kitchen tap was loosely attached to the sink, almost like it would fly out every time we move it. We also noticed that all of the hangers were of different colour, some looking very old, suggesting that they were either second-hand, or waste hangers from retail shops. Not sure if this is supposed to be an “eco-friendly” thing, well at least buy eco-friendly hangers from official companies instead of making it look like the hangers were picked up from different people’s dumpster. Not to mention the absolute ridiculous amounts of insects, bugs, spiders and moths. Come on! I’ve seen up to 20 different species of these things. Frankly, it’s VERY annoying! The homeowners have made ZERO EFFORT IN PEST CONTROL, no insect screens.

Roomy, comfortable, convenient and good location.

Needs more fan during warm season. Bathroom needs thorough cleaning. Need to install screen to the windows to prevent insects and flies from coming in.
