Apartment St. Louis 2.5 - GriwaRent AG

The apartment is clean and light with a beautiful view of the Eiger north face. 10 min walk to both Grindelwald Terminal and Grund, and a 20 min walk to Grindelwald main station. It is just as pictured; has enough kitchen supplies for simple meals. No food of any kind, just as stated. Simple toiletries and few towels.

The pickup of keys downtown is a bit of an inconvenience, but not horrible if you know that is how it is. We walked with our bags, a bit far, but ok. Difficult to know which apartment when using the elevator. No apartment numbers are listed.

Beautiful views and quiet despite its proximity to the very busy centre of Grindelwald

Shower leaked. Extractor hood over hob didn’t work. Mould patches in bathroom . Still waiting for our deposit to be returned

Spacious and cozy. I would put cleanliness as one of the highlights too. The availability of kitchen where we can prepare our own home cooked meals was a big plus.

Slightly away from the centre of Grindelwald. It was still possible to reach the centre of the city via walking or bus (which takes almost every half an hour)

View is amazing with spacious balcony. Price is ok if you are looking for room with kitchen.

Too many rules to follow after check in. No room service unless you pay a considerable amount for room cleaning and changing bed linen. (Very business and commercial). If you stay here for long, you may find it headache. Bedroom is clean but sofa is not. I only use the dining chairs. Some lights are out of order (obviously not totally ready for check in but it doesn’t really a big big matter) A bit far from grindelwald bahnof. Before a free bus taking you there , you have to walk 5 mins uphill to get to the bus stop. A bit steep when you have big luggage. The stove is too slow to heat. It took a long time to cook ever time.

The location and view was great!

The process of getting the keys was terrible. Make sure you get there before they close to pick up the keys at the reception desk. Google maps leads you down the wrong street. We didn't get in there until about 1 in the morning. They have a different location to pickup your keys. The worst part is the directions are basically a treasure hunt of pictures. Which by the way are out of order and most don't contain descriptions.

Beautiful views from balcony

There were many small details which made our stay less than enjoyable. I would not recommend this place if you want to stay in Grindelwald. - Terrible smell which would not go away in the five nights we stayed there - uncomfortable bed and only provided two small flat pillows to sleep on - bathroom was not very clean - only provided thin, stained bath towels to use for our entire five night stay - lighting is very dim - couch and pillows were visibly dirty and stained In addition, the location is not ideal unless you have a car. It is quite far out of town and you can get similar views in a place much closer to the convenience of town. The bus does not come very often so you will be left having to walk uphill into town if you want to go in for dinner.

Peaceful location and clean

Using the washing machine and dryer was a bit complicated.

The view is good! You got all utensils you need. It is very close to the Terminal, it’s good to walk down and take the Eiger Express.

The shower is a little bit dirty (my standard), it was acceptable for my partner but not me.
