Haynes Cay View

The apartment was spacious, spotless, and had a stunning view of the sea and sunrise. One of the highlights was the well-kept pier, perfect for spending a relaxing afternoon. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the surroundings.

Terrance, the host, was very kind and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. Perhaps in the future, having an assistant could make things even easier for him and enhance the guest experience.

La posizione e la vista sul mare. Ovviamente la posizione è soggettiva. Se uno preferisce stare in centro ovviamente non è una posizione ideale ma a me è piaciuta tanto.

Non si può tenere aperta di notte la porta finestra che da sulla terrazza perché entrano i granchi. Il letto è sfondato perché il materasso è rovinato. Lo stesso vale per il divano. La cucina ha pochissime cose per esempio non ha una padella grande. Ci sono solo due piatti due bicchieri ecc Il proprietario è una persona estremamente scorbutica e maleducata basta. Le porte fanno fatica ad aprirsi e chiudersi

Viajo seguido a la isla, ningún lugar como este, si te gusta la tranquilidad y la naturaleza es el lugar indicado. Volveré....

The stay was my best in a very long time! Beautiful and tranquil. The host was excellent and provided everything needed for the stay at his posada. I highly recommend Haynes Caye View, and looking forward to another trip back.

Lots of the extras mentioned on other reviews did not happen to the standard expected. For instance, people said that Terence gives boat tours and possible snorkeling (this is not true anymore). There really wasn't any close restaurants nearby. I was disappointed - we got wine, but the bottle was already opened with at least one glass drank. We booked for 3 nights, but had to ask for more water because there wasn't a place to get any and we only got 2 small bottles initially. I didn't like that we had until 11AM (Check-out) and he wanted to come into clean before (Over 15 minutes). I even mentioned something because he was cleaning more than just the linens as he said when he entered. I then realized he was gathering items that we did not have packed. He even told us to go onto the steps outside the room. As a result I felt rushed and left some food behind that I would have taken with me. This was the most expensive we stayed at per night, but we didn't feel that the hosts actions matched the prices. Please do not believe all the reviews- times have changed, sadly.

staying at Terrence is a bit like staying at an uncle who is strict (but fair). While cooking, I broke some stuff (two glasses and a plate) so I couldn't build a ´trust relation' with him even though I stayed there for over a week. I have been yelled at and felt at times scrutinized. When I left, Terrence did a checkin of the appart to make sure I didnt broke some other stuff. Wasn't particularly relaxing in this area but hey, it is really like living at an uncle. Renting a scooter is a must.

Nice sea breeze comes in when you open balcony doors, you sleep nice and cool. Owner offers tours on his boat from his dock on the property !

location not near the busy center, so always taking taxi rides, however the quieter area pays off.

Propietor was kind, Check in fairly easy. Views were amazing, location was excellent, public transport system inexpensive and convenient.

A few things specifically to myself: Bed was uncomfortable for a person with back problems. No mention of the inability to cook fish in the kitchen and that is my daily diet. Last thing that has to do with the tropics and the surrounding area to the property itself: when I book an ocean view: I love to hear it as I fall asleep at night. I was also encouraged to open both the front and back doors to enjoy the ocean breeze which I loved doing to combat the humidity. Unfortunately little ants come to visit, so limit the time you leave those doors open..
