Nice apartment pool.

Management of apartment and housekeeping were rude. When I booked I told them I only spoke English but they rarely communicated and only in Spanish. On What’s App when they wanted to be paid they would use English and when we waited for check in they spoke English to argue about whether or not their was bag storage. No place to store luggage and they did not let us in until after 3pm. I believe they let the previous guests stay past 12 noon and were very slow to clean apartment. We left early, about 10:30am since we had to turn off the air conditioning because it was leaking. Booking.com should know they add extra charge fees because you can only pay through their bank app. Excessive fees added for down payment and remainder of bill. The air conditioner also leaked and when I awoke the last morning I fell on the slick floor in a huge puddle. We had no air the last morning we were at apartment. Also, we were not allowed to use the pool while we waited for check in. At first they said they would hold our luggage but the housekeeper came and said the last guests were in room and didn’t say where she would set our luggage. The house keeper spoke no English and another guest interpreted. The desk manager for the Morris Epic that would not let us use pool suggested we sit on beach with our luggage. We sat in the lobby for 3 hours which seemed to annoy the Morris Epic staff. FYI, when you leave the security gate of the apartment to walk the littered beach you are immediately swarmed by people trying to sell you everything. We spent little time on the beach

Faraway from Boca grande. Which is great

The building is well-located just outside Cartagena. There's a beautiful sandy beach right in front and the ocean is so warm it's like walking into a bathtub. There are tents and chairs available and a constant flow of vendors. Just down the road is a small restaurant where you can get a good breakfast, as well as a pharmacy and a small store. A bit further towards Cartagena are restaurants where you can have lunch. Getting into Cartagena is easy but take one or more taxis because apart from really slow traffic is a complete lack of places to park. Two places that are a must to visit: La Serrezuela which is a bullfighting area converted into a beautiful shopping centre with restaurants at the top, and a restaurant called Sambal that is a delight to eat at. The menu is varied and the food inspired and delicious.

There was no television or internet, so you'd better make sure you get a SIM card with calls and data, or spend the big bucks for international roaming. A good SIM card and 20 days of data and calls will only be Cdn$14. The coffeemaker was broken and this was the only disappointment. The property company offered to get us another but we were only there for 2 days.
