Lovely property with a balcony, small shared pool and free laundry facilities in a quiet area good for bird watching. Renting a car recommended as restaurants, supermarkets, (stunning) beach and other attractions a hot 25/30 minute walk away.

Great location, very nice bathroom/shower, washer AND dryer accessible, nice balcony with beautiful view, good kitchen, very kind host.

Bed very soft, couch bed uncomfortable.

Lack of hot water in the unit.

The space was clean and easy to access. More amenities than I needed but nice to have options (fridge, stove, coffee maker, kettle, etc). AC was great but I stopped using it at night and opened the windows. Walk to beach is 15-20 minutes as stated but time flies if you enjoy looking at nature and relaxing on the walk. I headed to the beach around sunrise each morning. I recommend diving with Costa Rica Dive and Surf, walking to the Whale's Tail during low tide, and enjoying the trail from the beach (found monkeys in the tree and a large iguana). You really don't need a car if your goal is to enjoy the beach or tours near the park. Food options are near the beach as well. Host was responsive and helped connect me with a night tour (I highly recommend with Greivin) and taxi. I used the pool once and it was refreshing. I loved bird watching from the balcony (macaws, humming birds, and others I can't name). I overlapped with guests in the two other buildings on the property who were all respectful of sharing the space.

Construction nearby but I found that to be the case in all parts of Costa Rica I visited. Also, I was up before the workers started and was away most of the day while they were working.

Nice apartment with new appliances and AC. Confortable.

Lacking hook to hang towels in the bathroom. Queen bed is next to wall an cannot be move. Almost impossible to make bed. when arrived power was off. Following morning no running water. Toilet clogged the second day. Owner failed to show up to repair.
