Le Metro Mont-Royal by HomeInMontreal

This is wonderful unit, beautifully renovated and spacious. The location couldn't be better. Despite being on the main street in Le Plateau-Mont-Royal, you don't hear much noise at all. A delightful, well-kept and "homey" home away from home! Generous kitchen and hosting spaces, plus two balconies -- one with privacy, and one that's great for people-watching on Avenue Mont-Royal.

This isn't the host's fault, but the front stairs are steep and irregular in depth. I didn't see the wifi password in any documentation, and when messaging the host, it took a while to get a response.

Location! Roomy and very clean. Bonus points for having a washer/dryer.

We love stairs, but these were slick when wet and sloped. Not easy with heavy luggage. Upstairs plumbing made weird noises and bathroom sink drained very slowly.

(Two of us friends stayed in this large apartment in September 2024 for 4 days during the week). Literally one block walk from Metro Mont Royal Station, making it very convenient to get around. So many great streets to walk in the vicinity of this apartment. Apartment has beautiful decor, lots of space, cozy sofa seating. Beds were comfortable and bed sheets cozy. A circulating fan was provided by request. Apartment has AC. Neighborhood was moderately busy, but it wasn't noisy in the apartment. Slept well. LOVED the covered veranda off the kitchen. Sat there every morning drinking coffee. Host is quick to respond to texts.

EVERYTHING was fantastic! If I mention anything, it would be the set of steep stairs from street level to reach the apartment door. And the shower/tub is a climb to get into.

The pedestrian mall location made the neighborhood very walkable and gave easy access to cafes and restaurants. The metro was just a few steps away and Mont Royal park was easy to walk to.

Location was excellent but noisy on the first night (someone was having a party until well past midnight). That said, to be in a pedestrianised zone with metro so close was fabulous and made popping out for a drink, and for longer trips to the city very easy. House was fabulous too.

Quieter neighbours, but that was a one off seemingly.

Excellent location- although it would have been helpful to know the road is closed to traffic in summer. It was difficult to find a route through to get nearby to apartment. However once there it was perfect for metro & walking up to mount royal

Great location, near cafes and restaurants

Parking system is not well explained, so we got a ticket despite paying for 24-hour parking in resident zones. We didn't know that does not include resident zones with numbers, which require a real resident permit with that number.

Location was excellent! Loved walking straight down into the pedestrian street of Ave Mont Royal. Bedrooms are at the back of the unit so we didn't hear the noise from the street. Kitchen was large and well equipped for our stay. Really enjoyed sitting on the patios and people watching with a glass of wine.

Would have been nice to have some extra towels. Also, I'm not a fan of the soap dispensers attached to the wall. You never know what type of soap is in there or if it has been tampered with from previous guests. Box of tissues would have been a nice touch.
