The communication with this property was unpleasant from the very beginning. The owners had the audacity to presume that changing the check-in time to 2 hours later than what was stated on their page would not be an issue. When I informed them that I intended to arrive at the normal check-in hour, they told me it was too early. Only after I canceled the reservation did they change their mind, saying it was fine to check in at the regular time. By that point, I had already made a new reservation elsewhere, which I couldn’t cancel. They didn’t respond to any further messages and refused to waive the cancellation fees, despite the situation being their fault. It’s not about the money, but the principle. Here's my review worth 160 CHF. They are cheap scumbags and should be avoided.

Location is top-notch. The beds were surprisingly comfy and warm, and it doesn't feel overly cluttered with furniture. Nothing really beats the location for the view, and it's relatively convenient/cheap for its proximity to Interlaken/Lauterbrunnen.

There were a few rather large spiders by the couch as well as in the corner. They were a surprise, but we killed them, however we did note quite a few already dead spiders in the corner of that room. The cleanliness and attention to detail could have been better. In particular, there is a fire hazard with the electrical plugs as there is a power strip plugged into another power strip which is very dangerous. It would be very helpful to at least indicate that the property is on the backside of a different property you come up to from the stairs. While the address is correct, it was not abundantly obvious when we arrived exactly which house it was.

The location is excellent, overlooking lake Thun, in a quiet street. Some beautiful walks start directly at the doorstep. There is a small washing machine and a well-equipped kitchen. Monika and Claus are friendly hosts as well.

It’s a little cramped, there’s too much furniture in the small apartment. The beds are (old) fold-up beds, and one of them was quite uncomfortable. Although you have your own terrace, it offers little privacy since it’s situated right on a pathway to other apartments on the premises. A contrast with the hosts’ friendly and welcoming attitude was the fact that they charge extra money for using coffee/tea. The cristian/evangelical decorations in the apartment may not be to everyone’s liking.

Everything was good

Really friendly owner, made us feel very welcome. Lovely apartment with a charming outdoor space to while away the evening. Going for a swim in the lake before breakfast was a highlight.

The beds were the pull down type and the mattresses were very soft - ok for some I agree but not to our liking. We would have been charged extra for coffee pods, tea bags and water which was disappointing.

The property was very comfortable

The location. Uphill climb is an issue for people coming with luggage as there was no prior communication about the same.
