Avoid this apartment unless you want your vacation in Lucerne to begin with stress, confusion, and complete lack of basic hospitality. This was one of the worst accommodation experiences we have had in Europe. First red flag: the hosts kept using disappearing messages, conveniently ensuring there was no proper record of conversations. Communication was chaotic from the start. I had asked in advance whether they could arrange porter assistance for luggage, especially since we were traveling with a child. They simply ignored the question. On the day of arrival, they suddenly sent us a different address from the one listed on Booking/Google without clearly informing us that the property location was different. Later, instead of apologizing, they casually said they had “already sent the address.” If your apartment location differs from what is publicly listed, it is YOUR responsibility to clearly call that out to guests beforehand. They could not even provide a proper map or directions. We ended up dragging heavy luggage through cobbled streets and stairs with a child, with absolutely no support or empathy from the hosts. To make things worse, they kept sending incorrect photos and then deleting them repeatedly. It was unbelievably confusing and unprofessional. The lady who called us could barely communicate clearly, sounded unfriendly throughout, and showed zero concern for guests struggling to locate the property. The lack of customer service continued after checkout as well. We requested if they could store our luggage just 30 minutes earlier than their standard timing because otherwise we would miss our train. They ignored calls and messages for long periods and then responded later with completely unhelpful replies saying they “cannot help.” No effort, no flexibility, no courtesy.

Located at old town and walking distance to most tourist attractions

The check-in process went smoothly and the apartment was generally pleasant. It was located on the top floor, with slightly low ceilings, but the spaces were large and comfortable overall. Unfortunately, the main issue was that there were bed bugs in the sofa. We informed the owners as soon as we noticed it, but we were bitten during our stay. This was very disappointing, especially considering that the apartment was quite expensive. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend this apartment.

Clothes dryer took a long time and never really dried our clothes. Kitchen lacked salt and pepper Addition of an umbrella would be nice
