Apartmány u Arény Ostrava

Velmi milá a vstřícná paní majitelka. Lokalita super, blízko k MHD i na výlety.

Trochu starší oprýskaný nábytek, ale plnil, co měl, takže bez problémů.

The apartment was in a good spot - just 1,5 km from the Arena, in a relatively calm side street - which is what we wanted. The bath room was nice. The kitchen had a good dishwashing machine. The host was responsive via Booking.com messaging (mostly) and friendly. Checkin and checkout was easy with a keybox. Cute wild rabbit visiting the street where the apartment is from time to time :)

Biggest issues: - The apartment wasn't clean unfortunately. Going barefoot or in socks definitely made your feet dirty and you could feel the dirt on your feet on the floor upon arrival already. - Cutlery & dishes partially really dirty. - The one cupboard for clothes looked good from the outside. Inside: dirt (on shelves where to put clothes first had to clean with wet rag that was black after). - cupboard hasn't got much space for packing clothes of 3 people. Most place is for hangers- very little for laying the clothes out - toilet seat was loose and fell to the floor each time after usage - had to be reattached almost each time. - fridge could do only "not cold" or "frozen stiff" -so in either setting your food goes wrong, one way or another - double bed was quite instable. I am tall & ca. 100 kg. Nothing a normal bed shouldn't tolerate. But the wooden "bed slats" on which the matress rests, broke of their place and I had to physically try and push them back in...multiple times. Once it even happened with the 10 year old (at night - she didn't jump or anything) Smaller issues: Mainly "beauty mistakes" that I'd typically overlook if the overall experience is good. - No cleaning equiment, except a vacuum cleaner and a broom (but no dustpan for it) - Broken clothes dryer. Loose metal rod almost injured the daughter... - Unpractical furnishing: old leather set, that glued to your skin and was just uncomfortable to sit on. Overall space in the living room was small - TV is not smart (no Netflix - only Czech channels) - Power socket in bathroom is in impossible place (if you want to shave or charge your toothbrush for example)

Nice, spacious apartment, clean and with everything we needed. The host allowed us to late checkout which was very helpful. It's also pet friendly, which was great!

Location was perfect for reaching out Ostravar Arena and even getting to Vitkovice and Ostrava center. Parking is very easy, in front of the building; spacious shower. A bit outdated sofa, but who cares? (A furniture is functional by all means.) Various restaurants close by.
