Lack of information on how to dispose of PET, plastic, tins, green. Fridge door sticks & difficult to close. No clothes washing facilities Pillows way too soft.

Don’t carry heavy luggage… if with out car need to pull your luggage on a slope

The property is an an amazing location. It’s an easy walk to the grocery store, train station and gondolas. Bedrooms were very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and we cooked all of our meals at the property (Grindelwald restaurants are not great but the grocery is very well stocked). We enjoyed the balconies. I was a little concerned by the pictures that the furnishings were too old fashioned but it was lovely- more eclectic than grandma.

The internet was out for most of our stay. This was not the fault of the property but an issue with the internet provider but was not able to be resolved quickly. The bathrooms were large and clean but not what we are accustomed to. There are no laundry facilities at the property (or in Grindelwald) but there is a drying rack if you need to do some hand wash.

Roomy apt. Clean very nice. Great view off balcony.

Rental company never returned our $300 Swiss franks deposit - over 6 weeks now. We left the place nearly as clean as moving in. Rental agent was surprised there was no washing machine then said I guess your clothes will be stinky by weeks end and laughed. There was only three of us in a three bedroom unit for seven days. We were warned there was a $1000 fine if the key was lost and $30 each for any extra towels used. Nothing extra in the kitchen, had to pay extra for Coffee, no sugar,salt, pepper or anything. So these were all extra costs. Very little soap and shampoo was furnished for a seven day rental. Was a steep uphill climb to the apartment. Would never rent from this company again. Very expensive. ,

The rubbish is not collected from the apartment which is not ideal if you are carrying either ski's or travel bags 7 mins down a steep hill to the bin area. Though I understand this is not the host's system but a Grindelwalt one.

The views were spectacular. The kitchen was well outfitted. The beds were comfortable.

There were barking dogs outside in a fenced area behind the Hotel Alpenhof. They barked everytime anyone moved at the hotel. The overstuffed chairs in the living room need the upholstery cleaned. My brother plopped into one and a cloud of dust blew up. Having to manually lock and unlock the main building door everytime we entered and exited was very odd
