Apartment Schönegg - GRIWA RENT AG

The location is breathtaking with the balcony looking out to the Grindelwald valley as well as the Eiger and Monch mountain beyond. It is a relatively quiet place although the apartment is facing a main road with occasional sounds of vehicles driving pass. But in the absence of vehicles, it is very peaceful. The apartment itself is spacious and clean with a medium-sized fridge provided (we really appreciate this). There is a garage parking provided, just under the apartment but it is very small and can be quite difficult to park a large vehicle there, although you can also park outside (there is a non-reserved bay) if you dislike wasting your time parking in the garage.

During my stay, there was some soil/ground work being done at the slope just next to the house during the day and it became a bit too noisy at one point that we had to close the window to muffle it down. The apartment building is perched on a steep slope with the apartment situated on the second floor which means there are three flight of stairs. Bear in mind that there is no lift so for those who are travelling with many heavy luggage, consider skipping this apartment. The water pressure in the shower is also weak.

Grindelwald ligt zeer centraal bij de meest bezochte plekken in de omgeving. Het was uitmuntend schoon. Ik wil nogmaals het schoonmaak personeel een dikke pluim geven, want ze doen uitstekend hun werk.

- geen keukenkast ruimte voor eigen boodschappen dus lag het op het kookeiland, dus niet praktisch. - geen huisnummer moesten maar gokken welk gebouw en welk deur voor ons was. - alhoewel alles zeer schoon was waren de meubelen en de keukenspullen etc zeer zeer oud. Als je er langer verblijft dan gaan deze dingen irriteren. Veel kan makkelijk kapot gaan, en daar zit je dan met je €500 aan deposito. - er lag tapijt vanaf de deuringang in bijna gehele appartement, dus kan makkelijk vuil worden. Ook weer niet goed over nagedacht.

The apartment and all the furniture are outdated. The location is far from the town center. We had some difficulty communicating with the landlord.

Location, availability of parking, only one floor up, spacious, kitchen was super useful with all the tools available.

No drying machine, so if you in need of washing you should prep it good to have your clothes layed on balcony as the drying ropes were fully occupied during my stay.

The location of this apartment is outstanding. You can see the huge mountains right in front of your eyes. The apartment was super clean , they have all the utensils even for the baby's. They also have a lot of books in the living. There was a free parking in the garage of the apartment. The balcony was a cherry on top. Loved this apartment.
