Duplex de charme à Zermatt

this was the most charming apartment with an insane view of the matterhorn. the kitchen is fully equipped - we enjoyed many homecooked meals with the matterhorn as our background. location is nice and quiet, away from the bustle of the town but yet its a nice walk into town. this would definitely be our top choice when we return to zermatt.

Great and super cozy apartment for our vacation in Zermatt. The details in the flat really make it feel like home. It’s also pretty close to the e-bus station and to the Matterhorn Express gondola, so it’s fairly easy to get around town and go skiing. Particular highlight for us is a fully equipped kitchen that had everything that we might need for a week stay. Would definitely come back here!

Info book seems outdated, sends you to take the garbage to a place that doesn't exist. No garbage bags provided, only some plastic bags that were not the official orange ones

It was very comfortable. It had unique character and charm. Wonderful views of the Matterhorn. We loved our stay there.

Downstairs toilet ideally needed to be in the bathroom. Quite a long walk to the town centre.

The apartment was large and clean and the beds were comfortable. The upstairs bedroom had its own bathroom. Wifi was quick. Downstairs had a bedroom with a bathroom and a separate water closet. There was a balcony that had amazing views of the Matterhorn. The shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans and a microwave.

The apartment is advertised as having a washer/dryer. It turns out there is only one washer and one dryer for the whole building and you can only use them on certain days/times. We plan our clothing/packing based on the availability of washers/dryers on our trip and we were unable to use the ones there because we weren't there on the right days. The keys were not in the lockbox, but the owner did answer when I called and we were able to get in. It would be helpful if the unit was stocked with a few basics like small bottles of shampoo/conditioner and cooking oil in the kitchen. The guide book needs to be updated as neither taxi number is accurate anymore, and the bus stop closest to the apartment is not being used for construction. Finally, it might be helpful to sand the doors and table as it is very easy to get splinters in your hands.
