Holiday flat #1, Chalet Aberot, Wengen, Switzerland

Clare was a very gracious host and the chalet has all of the amenities you could want (espresso/coffee, tea, dishwasher, washing machine, hairdryer, fridge (and freezer with ice cube tray!). The views are magical and although the train runs right below the deck, we didn't even notice it after awhile and couldn't hear it in the bedroom while sleeping. We felt so at home that we ate in most nights as the views couldn't be beat! It's jsut a short walk from the train station and main street/grocery/bakery/tourist info office. Thank you, Clare, for a most wonderful and relaxing stay!

The view from this apartment is absolutely incredible. It's right on the edge of Wengen, so there are no buildings blocking the view. The location was pretty convenient, and the apartment was spacious with a fully stocked kitchen. It was great to be able to prepare our own breakfast and dinner--there's a Coop grocery story right by the train station.

One reason we booked this was for laundry, but it's worth knowing that the laundry machine is extremely small, so it's better to do loads as you go rather than wait till the end of your stay. Also, we found that the dryer didn't really work, so don't plan to do laundry right at the end. There was a rack to hang clothes to dry, which was very helpful; you just need to plan the time for that in advance.
