It was close to the beach and a diverse type of restaurants in the area of barra which there are many other good apartments to be rented so that isn’t something specific to this property.

Some of building staff were extremely rude, they did not even offer a ‘bom dia’ and had a very ‘cara fechado’ closed eye-brows and expression. The company managing the property were difficult and demanded to give them written notice of anyone coming to the apartment despite that they had not written this in their rules, visitors I had were made to not feel welcome, I had to write to the company via whatsapp and ask permission, when I asked at 22:30 pm I was ‘told off’ and told I wouldn’t be allowed to have anyone else visit the apartment. It was the second person who I invited. I’m an adult on holiday, this was not stipulated, it made me feel uncomfortable and limited my freedom. I was also met with a lot of hostility and speculation as if an adult wanting to entertain another adult in a private space was to be frowned upon, what year are we in? Other than that the cleanliness of the apartment was substandard, there was sand, marked towels, chipped semi-clean plates, not even a small bar of soap, salt, sugar or coffee was offered. There were occasional loud disturbing knocks on the door to collect trash? There was building work going on in the building with loud machines before 8am, and people smoking mariajuana that could be smelt from my room and was embarrassing when I invited friends to visit the two times I was permitted. It was a very unpleasant and difficult trip and I was not helped at all by the company who were managing the apartment. They were completely unbothered and I have read customer feed back in the past and none of the feedback had been observed.

great location, very clean, organized, have everything you need
