espacio del departamento, el uso de las habitaciones, cocina, el balcon, personas que estan 24 hrs en el edificio que ante cualquier eventualidad, espacio seguro, centrico, de facil acceso.

The apartment was located downtown the city. Very central. Close to commerce, the metro, and public transportation all around. The location is central, in a good place. Really in the heart of the city. The apartment itself had good views of the area around it (street, metro, other buildings, etc.). No ocean views. There are no keys to keep track of (except for the fob to the building parking lot gate, if you are driving). The entrance to the building is secured with personnel in the front desk and intercom to get into the building (citophone), so people just won't come into the building from the street that have no business in the building. Three elevators to get to the floor your are at (and stairs, of course). There is a roof top small swimming pool that you have access to. There is an area for outdoors tables with a grill (coals) that you have access too; as well as a gym. There are two bathrooms and two bedrooms in the apartment. A futon in the living room. A full kitchen. Bedding was sufficient, towels, and plates/cups/silverware. TV with local channels in the living room area and the master bedroom. Newer building. Good size refrigerator. If you want to be in the middle of Vina del Mar, this is very centrally located. We had problems with withdrawing the cash (didn't have online payment available for us), and the owner was willing to be flexible and make arrangements to come back to get the payment to give us time to sort things out with our card. Due to the central location, there are many close by exchange houses (to exchange currency), and we were able to pick up the money transfer we sent to ourselves through Xoom, at a nearby Aflex location (to pick up money to pay the rental, since the ATM machines in the nearby banks did not work for us to withdraw money). They have a laundry facility (it uses coins) in the building.

Weird: no toilet paper in neither bathroom. Good thing we had some with us. So you'll have to buy that to supply your own. Though the entrance is keyless, the owner insisted in meeting with us to let us into the apartment, so we had to agree on an exact time to meet, which cut into our sightseeing time (specially when she ended up running late by about 40 minutes). The owners do not have the apartment set up to receive payment in form of credit card. They want local bank transfer in local currency or dollars, but since we were coming from abroad, she wanted cash payment. They don't have it set up for payment through booking.com (which is the site we used to book the rental), nor does she have it set up to receive credit card payment through an online service, like other rentals we used in the country. So it made it inconvenient to have to carry so much cash in local currency or even dollars. Our cards did not work in the local ATM machines (several of them), so we ended up sending ourselves money through Xoom.com (a PayPal service) and were able to pick up the money in a nearby location (Aflex). The mattresses were a bit hard for us, and the futon also was pretty hard (our 18 year old son slept on it and was pretty soared afterwards). They had just enough plates, cups, silverware for the 5 of us, nothing extra. The lighting in the master bathroom was not sufficient. They have halogen bulbs that look nice but get really hot, and they only had one working (which burnt out the second day we were there). I would suggest changing the fixture with LED bulbs.
