Location was excellent, very attractive apartment. Unfortunately I could have used a little more light. There are really beautiful features, stairs, countertops etc., all black. Really beautiful but also really good at absorbing light.

as a single woman travelling alone I felt very secure in the area. cooking and cleaning facilities in the unit were very good. Size of the suite was great for one or two people. This unit needed to have the unworking microwave removed, but there was a working one, so that was OK. The desk set up was very good. There seemed to be enough closet space and electrical outlets.

Found the TV to be too high by comparison to the couch, watching for an hour gave me a sore neck. Couch in good condition, but very soft and for an older person like me with hip issues, it was difficult to get on and off. Same for the bed. REALLY needs a new box spring and mattress. TOO soft. The suite could really use a "comfy chair". Although I understand the security issues involved, having to go all the way around to the front door from the parking lot, climb the somewhat odd front stairs with luggage, then maneuver either up or down to the suite made no sense where there was a door right in the parking lot. Hopefully something can be done about that. Maybe a security door like the front one with a code?

Booking.com gave a price of $545.00 . It was accepted, but the actual cost was about $150.00 more. (not just taxes, there were additional fees). I did not realize this until it was too late. Two days before arriving, after cancellation date, I was told there was a fee for parking. This is not disclosed on the website. Owner would not tell me if there was off street parking available. Had to pay an additional $60.00. There were no less than 8 signs all over the suite. "Dont open this window" "Don't touch the heat controls - call management if you want to adjust". "Dont' mess with the television setting" and a list of rules - we had to clean and put away all the dishes, take out the garbage etc. If we did not, and if the suite was too "unclean" they would charge us up to $350.00 more. Many many rules. Made the stay very uncomfortable. Also, the latch barely kept the door closed, and there was no deadbolt. Final note, the pillows were maybe 2" thick. Equivalent to a mat.

I wish there was recycling provided. Perhaps this is a city of Calgary thing, but I felt very bad throwing everything in the trash.
