Alpen Chalet

距離車站很近，地點安靜，空間寬敞，廚房設備齊全，是不錯的住宿選擇。

The location is within walking distance from the train station (within 5-10min, with luggage, flat path without stairs). There are buses that stops near the hotel. However, do note that the frequency of the buses are hourly. It is really close to the supermarkets in town and convenient to get our grocery from there. Attractions wise, theee is a direct bus to Blausee (taking only abt 10-15min, hourly frequency) and we can walk about 15min to get to the cable car to Oeschinensee. The front desk staff were friendly and polite! They managed to allow us to check in early and even gave us an upgrade to a bigger apartment. Really thankful for these thoughtful measures! That aside, the check in and out process were really quick and without fuss! The apartment is spacious and well-furnished. Kitchen wares are sufficiently provided. Bathroom amenities (towels and all-in-one shampoo/body wash) were also provided. Bathroom water heater and spray power were good too! (Just take note that the water heater doesn't seem to work in the early morning but they do get warm by about 7am). The beds and pillows were to our liking and comfort. The blanket and the room heating are sufficient that we do not feel cold in the room. The balcony overlooks the mountains and the Kander stream/river. It is just the perfect stay!

The signal for the TV wasn't working so we didn't get to use it. We didn't inform the staff as it was the weekend and it wasn't that big an issue for us (since the WiFi still works well). The path that leads to our apartment was under some construction so we had to derail a bit to pull our luggage on a bit of the grass patches (not a big issue too). If you are travelling with people with reduced mobility, you might want to take note of stairs that lead to the rooms.

Staff where helpful

I was eating food we bought from the restaurant. I had my own water but was asked to not drink it unless I brought it from the restaurant. Its just water mate. I literally got it from a mountain I just climbed. I wouldn't be pressed but the way the man spoke was quite rude. In general the hotel staff where ammazing

The location in Kandersteg was excellent and conveniently close to the local facilities, including supermarkets.

The chalet was a little run down and would likely benefit from a refurbishment at some point, but still in good working order.

Lieu cosy, dans la nature agréable et relativement calme si les voisins ne font pas de bruit. Le chalet est bien équipé en matériel de cuisine

Pas de savon dans la SDB équipement cassé, matelas d'une chambre affaissé donc assez inconfortable
