Ancient Paphos - cozy place next to the sea, marina, historical sites, buses, mall, and market

Apartmán je v tichej lokalite, bolo v ňom všetko, čo sme potrebovali, kuchyňa výborne vybavená. Ubytovateľ Justín bol veľmi ústretový, odpovedal na všetky naše otázky, dal nám tipy na dobré reštaurácie, pekárne, obchody, výlety. V blízkosti 5 minút peši je nákupné stredisko, autobusové zastávky. Prístav vzdialený cca 10 minút peši, najbližšia pláž asi 7 minút peši, ale je kamienková. My sme chodili na Venus Beach, ktorá bola asi 20 minút peši po promenáde pri mori, táto pláž bola úplne nádherná, piesočnatá, s priezračným morom. Apartmán je blízko historických pamiatok a majáku a jeho poloha je skvelá - naľavo prístav s promenádou a reštauráciami, ideálne na večerné prechádzky, napravo zas promenáda s plážami na celodenné kúpanie.

Všetko bolo v poriadku.

Omanikult palju infot nii korterisse saamise osas kui ka vaatamisväärsuste ning söögikohtade osas. Omanik oli alati nõus infot andma. Rõdult avanes vaade arheoloogiaalale ning selle rohelusele ja merele. Kõik vajalik oli ümbruskonnas olemas (toidupoed, bussipeatus).

Krásné a prostorné místo blízko archeologické lokality, s výhledem přímo na Odeon, maják a část moře. Přímo z terasy. Tiché a klidné. Dostupnost obchodního centra 5min chůze a pláže necelých deset. Potřebné vybavení pro pobyt vč fenu, nádobí, v každém pokoji klimatizace.

Proleželá postel v ložnici s péry, která v noci vrzala a tlačila. To bylo nepříjemné. Chtělo by vyměnit. Chybí sítě do oken, takže i v prosinci neustálý boj s komáry ☺️

I want to preface we stayed for 29 nights, so our review takes into consideration we spend more time in the lodgings when we slow travel, and that brings a different set of expectations. Our (my husband and myself) month-long stay was made excellent by several standout features. Hands-down, the unobstructed view from the balcony was the highlight. We enjoyed coffee in the sun, reading, and watching the sunset over the archaeological site, the lighthouse, and the ocean every evening. The location was fantastic for walking: just 5 minutes to Lighthouse Beach and the promenade, 20 minutes to Paphos Harbor, and a pleasant 30-minute walk to the central bus station for day trips, and our favorite restaurants in the Old Town area. The host, Justin, was exceptional. His communication was proactive and excellent, from providing clear self check-in instructions and local recommendations to explaining the solar water heater. He was highly responsive to our needs as long-term guests. He immediately arranged for a refresh of linens and towels and promptly fixed a lightbulb issue within hours. His level of service was truly five-star. Finally, the Wi-Fi connection was superb—fast and reliable for both work and streaming throughout our 30-day stay.

Areas for Improvement While we were generally comfortable, the apartment furnishings and presentation need attention, especially for longer-term rentals. The overall setup felt more akin to a 'first apartment' or student accommodation. Aside from the comfortable living room couch, much of the furniture felt mismatched and worn. Some of the furnishings you see in the pictures are no longer there, like a nightstand in the twin bedroom (replaced with a dining room chair). Or the furnishings are different than the pictures. For example, the terrace now has plastic folding chairs. The dining room table is also different than the pictures. And while it was stable, it was very worn and the chairs were rickety, and we deemed two of them unsafe to use. • Bed Quality: The main bed was very rickety, causing significant disturbance with any movement, which regrettably led to us sleeping separately for the entire duration. • Maintenance & Deep Cleaning: Upon arrival, we found some areas needing a deeper clean. We had to scrub black residue from the dish rack base before use, and the shower curtain had mildew and an odor that indicated it needed replacement. A deeper clean in the apartment corners is also overdue. And while we really appreciated all the cleaning materials so we could clean ourselves, regular checks and attention to these details between guests would significantly improve the overall standard of the apartment. We enjoyed our stay primarily due to the incredible view and the host's outstanding service. However, for a 30-day stay, the overall comfort level was impacted by the condition of the furnishings, which is why we would likely choose a different option for future long-term visits. We believe addressing the furniture quality and basic maintenance issues would make this a truly excellent apartment.

Alles hat gut geklappt! Der Gastgeber war nett, die Lage sehr schön und alles, was man braucht, war dort! Der Ausblick auf den Leuchtturm und den See war großartig! Ich würde hier wieder wohnen, wenn ich wieder nach Paphos reise.

Very nice apartment with a lovely view on the archeological site and the lighthouse. Situated in a calm neighborhood near the (now closed) roman bath hotel. Mall with supermarket nearby. Well equipped, but some furniture is a bit outdated.

High-quality/premium furnishing on the balcony would increase the feel-good factor significantly. (But you would need to find a solution for the doves then - there are a lot in the area)

Very good location with a private parking space. Near the beaches and restaurants. Wonderful view from the balcony.

The apartment needs a renovation, in the kitchen the dishes were dirty.

Traumhafte Lage mit Blick auf die archäologischen Ausgrabungen und das Meer. Schöner großer Balkon. Komfortables Bett. Verdunkelung möglich. Ruhig. Badezimmer hübsch mit zwei Waschbecken. Nette Nachbarschaft. Ausstattung der Küche mittelmäßig bis okay, man konnte gut kochen. Waschmaschine vorhanden. Schnelle Kommunikation und freundlicher, flexibler und entgegenkommender Gastgeber! :)

Fehlende Lichtquellen, es gab keine kleinen Lampen auf den Nachttischen oder im Wohnzimmer. Stattdessen gab es nur Deckenbeleuchtung in kaltweiß. Das war leider sehr ungemütlich. Wir haben uns selbst kleine Lampen gekauft und die Deckenlampen mit Tüchern verhängt.
