Great location, lovely apartment

I liked everything except for the 34 steps up to the apartment but I would still stay there again without the two 80 year olds.

Inside the apartment was ok.

We didn’t even stay at the apartment. The building is a mess of a construction site. We couldn’t find parking as all car parks were full twice we attempted to park there,the rubbish stunk leading into the building from stairwell to access the room, the construction was horrible, very noisy, it should have been explained that we would lift all our luggage up the many stairs in the description . We travelled a long way and to come and find these conditions for our holiday was devastating. We ended up staying at a friend’s place and got another apartment somewhere else. There should be a disclaimer about the conditions of the complex and its renovation as it is not acceptable. Overall the word luxury should not form part of the description as the whole experience reminds me of a third word country leading into the room. The apartment inside was fine, but the fact that complex is a construction site is not somewhere you want to be on a holiday and it should be disclosed. We feel misled and disappointed from what was advertised.

The owner booked a taxi for us (from the airport). Centrally located, near bus station (that goes to airport) but...

Not sure why it is self-titled "Luxury" property. It is in a mediocre state of cleanliness and wear and tear (see pics). Reaching the appartment is cumbersome and involves entering an unappealing/industrial looking yard and climbing 2 flights of rather narrow stairs up, then a few steps down (no elevator). We couldn't bare for more than 1 night (out of 4) due to the constant noise during day and night. As you can see in the pics, there is a restaurant in 20m distance (on the shore) -- unfortunately it's the noisest in the port (loud bass that you can hear perfectly inside). We tried to get some refuge over the night fleeing to the second bedroom that is in the back, unfortunately the restaurants were using the green garbage container (see pics) to throw loads of bottles, 3-4 times over night (and it was only Thu, beginning of season). Then, in the morning, at 7am sharp, a pick-hammer started some structural work right below (see the red container) and it went on until we couldn't bare the noise & vibration and packed & left at 12. On top of it, the owner refused to reimburse the unused 3 nights (just the one in which we suffered) arguing that we should have inferred from the comments that it's a noisy place. This is even more unacceptable because we passed-by one of the other nights and noticed they have managed to rent it to some other tourists. In conclusion, unless you really love/don't mind noise, I don't think this is a nice holiday place. Also, see the real pics vs. the selectively "look above" ones.
