Location was excellent in a beautiful square. View from the roof was amazing . Apartment was really clean. There was one double room and another room with 2 double beds up quite a steep stairs. It overlooked the sitting room and was open. Another bed in sitting room which could be a double also. Felt very safe there and apt had everything you would need like nespresso coffee machine, washing machine and liquid, dishwasher etc.

There were no curtains in any window including the bathroom. I found it a little odd not so much for privacy as so high up but it was bright in the morning and kids woke earlier. Stairs were really steep so wouldn’t recommend for anyone with kids liking to climb. We were a group of 7 people and there wasn’t enough seating in the sitting room. What counted as a bed was doubled up as a kind of couch but had 2 mattresses on it and that was it apart from 4 not so comfortable chairs and a table. A sofa would be good also or even instead of the “bed”. There was a yellow dresser there which could go into the bedroom and maybe a couch could fit there. These are small things but would make alot of difference as could be more comfortable.

Couple. Four nights Early September 2023. Beautifully decorated apartment with everything you need, including a washing machine 👍. Terrific airconditioning, heating and natural light from the pretty arched windows All with lovely views. All the electrical appliances were excellent. Lots of kitchen crockery, glasses, cookware and utensils. Bedding was clean and comfortable with extra pillows and quilts. Large walk-in robe with lots of storage space, iron, airing rack and brooms. The upstairs loft area is spacious with (obviously) low ceilings and two extra very large beds and floor seating decor. Lots of varied lighting throughout. The peaceful rooftop terrace is absolutely amazing with 360 deg views, including stunning sunsets. Take extra care going up and down stairs and opening and closing the heavy rooftop access hatch. Highly recommended to supervise children with rooftop access to avoid accidents or property damage. Lift access and good security to the apartment. Good shower pressure, two bathroom sinks, plenty of drawer storage and places for personal products. Plenty of bathroom hooks and rails for towels etc is always valued. Hairdryer. Four quality towels and hand towels. Beautiful fragrant room air fresheners are a nice touch. Excellent location in the main town square with many cafes, restaurants and small supermarkets. Lovely walk to the river and parklands to see wildlife including squirrels, ducks, geese and amazing families of adorable Eurasian Beavers 👍🩷 Recommend staying at this property.

More detailed instructions with photos would have been helpful prior to our stay, including transport information to the apartment if arriving by bus or rail. The property manager did offer to book us a taxi prior but being self sufficient, experienced travellers (and our 15th location in 4 months) we (wrongly) expected there would be a taxi rank at the Hradec Kralove bus terminal. Attempts to find a bus were (bizarrely) futile and not one taxi in site. First time in this town from another country and don't speak Czech. Sadly, the locals were unhelpful 😞. We ended up walking 1.9 km with our luggage to the apartment on a very warm day. No drama for us and we respectfully updated the property manager, who was waiting in the apartment, of our dilemma and ETA. Hence to say she was unimpressed when we finally arrived (exhausted, hot and stressed) and we received an unwelcoming frosty reception. Quite humiliating. We sincerely apologised as we understand this inconvenienced her and we absolutely respect punctuality. Unfortunately these things happen and were out of our control. Not a pleasant start to our visit to Hradec Kralove at all. Recommend that the owner provides more detail, with identifying photos of the building and property entrance downstairs (as most properties do) and available transport to the property from bus and train terminals. Receiving bus numbers and taxi office locations is not helpful after the fact. It would also be more helpful to have contactless access (key box/safe) to the property to avoid the pressure and inconvenience to both parties. Poor and cold attitude on arrival and subsequent responses to our polite, friendly messages were very disappointing as visitors and left us with a poor overall view as "tourists" and paying customers. No excuse!
