The view was pretty and the room was spacious. Very clean and well equipped kitchen.

The bed and pillows were poor in quality and comfort, the room was hot as it faced the sun and there was no air conditioner - we tried to keep the windows open at night but as the building is located next to an active train line (a train and an alarm of the pedestrian gate every few minutes even at night) and a construction site active at night, it was too noisy to sleep. Also the air in the room got humid, since the bathroom had no ventilation at all.

Lovely apartment in amazing location close to the lake and pleasant walk from Locarno centre. The kitchen was fantastically well equipped. Lots of thoughtful extra touches which showed the owners care a lot about their visitor’s comfort. Good value for money. We were really pleased to find this place and loved our stay! We were there while the school was on holiday so it was nice and peaceful. The building is the first one on the right as you enter the school courtyard (took us a while to find the sign on the door which is fairly small!) NB: city tax not included in the price despite booking saying price includes all taxes and charges.

A small thing - there is a bright lamppost which shines into the bedroom from the kitchen window at night. There were no blinds on this window and it isn’t possible to close the outdoor shutters. Blinds/thick curtain would be perfect.
