Abendrot - Direct lake view

Excellent location, 5 minutes walk from Brienz station and ferry terminal. Easy transfers by train or ferry to other towns. Splendid view from the apartment balcony. Very spacious and comfortable.

Would have liked the 2nd room to be made up before our arrival instead of only one room ready, since we were two single travellers. 2nd room could have been cleaner - found hairs on the floor 😔

Everything, best location, stunning views. Nothing to complain about. Train station is 3 minutes walk. Everything is so close perfect when traveling with kids.

The property itself was overall good, and the balcony view was great. However, the radiator towel rack was not clean, and there was no other rack can hang the towel. Be careful when you go to shower as the bathtub was very high and the floor was slippery.

Be careful if the host let you to live in another different and horrible apartment which just next to this apartment!!! We booked three days, on the first day when we arrived, he took us to the wrong apartment and told me that here is your apartment without say anything. After I realised that was not the right apartment, I was told my apartment was duplicated booked and I only can move to the apartment on the second day”if I want” as the current guest which live in my booked apartment only stay for one day. He also said” you are lucky because I have this apartment available for you”. he even want to persuade me this apartment is better than my booked one which is bushit. He said it was booking.com’s problem which is not true after I checked with booking. Obviously, the apartment only allow to book 3 continuous days on booking. It was impossible to book only one day though booking.com. We were very tired and had a lot of luggages , no other choice, so we have to accept to live in the horrible apartment on the first day. Obviously, these two apartments had different price as I checked, however, I didn’t get any refund from him. The pictures below shows how old and outdated of the apartment and its name. The kitchen and kitchenware were very dirty and we had to clean everything before we use. And one of the bedroom was very small and only had double bed. Two of us have to squeezed and can’t sleep well. moreover,because the apartment door was facing towards the front gate, a guest knocked our door at night and thought this was the reception room. It was really the worst experience in this place.
