Pfaffenstöckli

We absolutely loved this little chalet. It had everything you we needed for our 6 night stay. The location is perfect for walking to town, the first gondola lift and felt very private. The views are like a fairy tale book, so gorgeous! The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had everything and enjoyed the living room to relax along with the front porch. Margrit is a very kind and helpful host! For paying cash we found a place town on arrival to exchange money at a local bank. Very easy. My bank tried to discourage me to wire money, because of all the scammers out there, but Margrit is a legit kind lady.

Not a thing

This is a super property. Great location for the village and activities around it as well as the train and bus station to access other towns. It’s very comfortable and well equipped. The beds are comfy. It even has umbrellas and trekking poles! It’s possible to completely self cater - the kitchen has everything you need - but it is also near to so many different restaurants and cafes. On warm days the balcony at the front has a lovely view of the mountains to look at while you sit and relax or eat and the seating area at the back is also a great, quiet spot to sit. I would definitely stay here again.

Heerlijk appartement, alles wat je nodig kan hebben was aanwezig. Auto kan geparkeerd worden in garage onder het appartement.

Niet heel veel opbergruimte in slaapkamer.

Leuk huis, heel schoon en heel volledig. Super locatie.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pfaffenstöckli! The host was kind enough to meet us with the keys, even though we were delayed arriving. Location is excellent: close to Grindelwald station and shops for groceries. The Grindelwald First Cable Car is only a short stroll away. There is an amazing view of the mountains (Monck and Jungfrau) from the small balcony, which we enjoyed at every chance with a coffee or glass of wine!

We were unfamiliar with the cook top/oven, some instructions would be helpful - managed to work it out quickly though. Also, there is a musty odor when first entering, but is quickly cleared out by opening doors/windows for a few minutes.

Very cosy and comfortable chalet. Close to first cable car. Margrit is a a very friendly and helpful host. She even helped us with transport to Train station very early in the morning. Thank you so much Margrit for a wonderful stay.
