The host was friendly, otherwise not so much

On arrival the property was described by the owner as ‘retro’.. More accurately it was very old and tired. The double bed was made without a mattress! Meaning we had to make something from the single beds. The oven was without seal to the door so the controls were already burned. The oven, kettle and microwave were all connected via a combination plug without correct rating. Extreme safety hazard! There was not a smoke detector or fire extinguisher present in a wooden house with wood fire heating and poor electrics.
