Our experience was very different from what was described in the previous reviews. We booked the apartment for 4 people. Inquired about sleeping places. Sent 2 emails via booking.com (no answer). Sent messages via booking.com (answered several weeks later just a few days before arrival that there were places 4). We didn't receive any check-in and parking information in advance. Since on booking.com it says someone will meet us on location we assumed this would be the case. However after driving more than 5 hours we arrived just after 6pm to find the house dark and no obvious place to park. We called and was told to park on the other side of the road. The apartment is on the upstairs of an uninhabited part of the house annex accessible via an outdoor staircase with a small landing. The stairs were covered in snow and ice, very slippery. One of us fell while carrying things from the car. The apartment was essentially a corridor divided into kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and a living room. The owner set 3 electronic heaters in the kitchen, bathroom and living room (Thank you). However since downstairs is uninhabited it was still very cold, especially the bedroom in which there was no heater. If someone needs the bathroom the other side of the apartment is not accessible. Despite having booked for 4 people, we found only 3 sleeping places prepared, 2 small hand towels and only half a toilet paper roll. Luckily after contacting the owner 2 more small towels, toilet rolls and bedding were brought up (Thank you). The couch folds open but it was not really a sofabed and not comfortable to sleep on. There were only thin blankets in the apartment. We slept in several layers of clothing because we were cold. Only in the second half of the night the apartment was finally warmed up by the electronic heaters. Upon check-out we were asked to leave cash payment on the kitchen table. We didn't meet the owner again. Other payment methods were not possible.

I was visiting family so this location was perfect just 15 minutes away from them. The flat was clean and in good condition. Really accomodating hosts dispite me being difficult with arrival and check out times. Little sweeties on bed when i arrived made all the difference as i hadn’t eaten all day. Tea coffee and even some cereal in kitchen if needed. One evening i came home and they have dogs which i love but they checked it was ok with me before i entered the court yard which was lovely. Super lovely hosts. Lots of space it’s like a never ending apartment :-)

The walls are thin so you can hear when others are around but this is my fault for coming on a weekend when football started. I still managed to get to sleep and it was nice hearing people cheer and have fun together. Not a complaint but make sure you read the comments about accepted payment methods.

Very friendly hosts and had a nice chat. Location was very close to the Musel which was amazing to see. Everything was clean and nicely kept in order. I will recommend!

the location is nice quite area very easy to reach , very lovely host and very nice apartment and its extremely clean and a lot of space you have

the beds can be improved & the wooden floor makes a lot of noise when you walk specially near the bed room entrance near the kitchen and be aware if you travel in summer you have a lot of mosquito's take a spray with you or cream to save your self other wise you wont sleep all night , i didn't know

We travelled by car and arrived a little late, the host was annoyed. The next morning he was okay.

Really friendly couple, everything was clean and they even let me borrow a bike so I could have some beers at my friends hotel. They also let me safely park my motorcycle on their property!

This place was really nice. The best part was how friendly and helpful the owners were. We had problems with the car and they helped us so much. They even offered to come with us to the garage and bring us back so we could wait at the hotel till it was fixed if needed. They were just Awesome. I highly recommend this place.

Nothing, this place and the owners are wonderful

Location for visiting Geierlay Bridge, Cochem, for hiking trails…. and our dog was welcome too ❤️.
