York Cottage

The location is not far from the town, and the neighborhood is very quiet and safe. We really enjoyed the walk into town. The garden is beautiful—when we visited, the peonies were in full bloom and absolutely stunning. The house and facilities were very clean. We will definitely come back!

A beautiful apartment, spacious and with quality fittings and appliances. Christoph and Astrid are warm, responsive and kind. It was a lovely stay!

Our stay was exceptional. We can't say enough good things about it. The apartment is bright, modern (looks like a very recent complete remodel), tastefully decorated, perfectly clean, and beautifully maintained. It's a very nice size too. We stayed for 3 nights, but we could have been happy here for 3 months! Includes every amenity you could ask for. Comfortable bed and bedding. There is very nice closet storage space for clothing and personal items, plus a large dresser in the bedroom. Large bathroom. Full kitchen with all appliances, pots, pans, dishes and utensils. Dining table that seats 4. Living area with very comfortable seating. Perfect WiFi. We were delighted to find visitor information with guides to local attractions, restaurants, and anything else you might need (bike rental, bus service, a pharmacy, groceries, etc.). The apartment is located in a beautiful residential neighborhood, and is an easy 2-3 block walk into the heart of town. It is a bit uphill from town (everything is uphill from town), but if you are able-bodied, it is no real challenge. It has both driveway parking, and easy on-street parking. Did I mention the garden?? It is gorgeous. An absolutely lovely spot to sit outside and enjoy the beauty of the region. Hosts/owners Astrid and Christoph were wonderful from the moment we made our reservation, to the moment we drove away. They speak fluent English, which was a huge help to us as we do not speak German. Special bonus - their son owns and operates a local winery, and his award-winning wines are available for your purchase from Astrid and Christoph. Not a single dislike!!

Very charming and well-appointed apartment. Great fireplace, fully stocked with wood. Wine fridge upstairs in the hosts’ house, very nice garden and covered outdoor seating area. We came for the famous Christmas market, for which this was a perfect location and just a short walk away.

Super nice hosts who gave some great recommendations about things to do in the area. The apartment was spotless and well equipped.
