Die Unterkunft und die Lage hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Karl ist ein toller Gastgeber und ein sehr freundlicher Mensch. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Great location, spacious terrace, and most lights had dimmers on them.

All the furnishings were very old which in itself isn’t a bad thing, but the TV was very old and had very few channels in English and no access to streaming platforms like Netflix. The frying pans were all badly scratched and in very poor condition. The king size bed seem to be turned the wrong way and very hard to walk around the bed or open the cabinet doors because of it. Our host, Karl had built an iron frame to make it longer on one side, but this made the situation even worse as I bump my knees on it at night. The holder for the shower head was broken and kept falling down.. you could not use the intercom to let people in because the host insisted that the bottom door be double locked. I’m a landlord myself and have a number of Airbnb’s so I tried to point out a few things to our house Karl in a nice way. I even went so far as to send him a link where he could buy new Samsung 44 inch flat screen tv for a little over €300 . Regrettably his answer was “I don’t listen to complaints“ and that I was very ungrateful. I had tied a line around the showerhead to hold it up, and he yelled at me please get rid of that ugly piece of line!

The property is located in a beautiful part of Hamburg, with easy and quick access to the city centre and lots of shops and restaurants in the nearby. The apartment was spacious, quiet and very clean with a lovely backyard at the back. Our host Karl was very responsive, super helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend!
