Incredibly clean space with a comfy bed

There was no blow dryer

Modern nice apartment, 5 min to the old town, great for couples.

It was hard to find the key box, it is not around the entrance door.

We arrived ahead of our check in time - we know Meersburg very well and normally the traffic is horrible so we allowed extra time and arrived early. We did apologise to our host but she wasn't worried and despite having her hands full with three small children she was friendly and helpful and seemed pleased to see us. The little flat was perfect for us, it had everything we needed for a few days reconnecting with an area we have visited many, many times! It's a good location with private parking which makes it easy to explore on foot. My husband is very sick and unfortunately I had forgotten how steep the hill was - that's worth remembering if you less able to walk! The heating is super efficient and we ended up turning it off almost completely. We used to live near Bodensee so for us this was a chance to revisit our favourite places. We loved being back and seeing what had changed. Meersburg is a great base with good public transport links, a Lidl and Edeka supermarket and (with the exception of one extremely grumpy shop keeper) very friendly people.

The bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a glass screen. It's very modern and clean but it's impossible to use the bathroom at night without flooding the bedroom with light, The sofa isn't the most comfortable but for a short stay it's absolutely fine. On the morning of check out we didn't get to see our hosts, despite following instructions to ring their door bell (we rang three times in the end) so we can only hope we left everything as they expected it to be.
