En trevlig lägenhet, nära stationen. Bacharach är en fantastiskt mysig by.

Vistelsen var mycket trevlig.

Tolle Lage mitten in der Altstadt, sehr geräumige Ferienwohnung, aufgeteilt in 2 gegenüberliegende Apartments (wir waren eine große Gruppe mit 10 Personen), unsere Kinder waren total begeistert, dass sie im Maisonette-Zimmer ihr eigenes kleines Reich hatten. Auch dass wir mit allen Personen gemeinsam an einer Tafel sitzen und essen konnten, war klasse. An Ausstattung war alles da, was wir gebraucht haben. Alles sehr sauber.

The property was a really great size and location for our family of 5. All the kitchen basics were provided and the local shop was close by for groceries. The beds were super comfortable and all the rooms were a good size. Communication from the host was exceptional and the guide book provided was useful for recommendations of restaurants and places to visit.

The only downside, which has nothing to do with the property is the parking. You park outside of the town itself (a 5 minute walk) which costs €5 a day, so it’s just something to be aware of.

Let me start with the handful of positives - the location is central, but the fact the flat is in a courtyard, makes it quiet - certainly we didn't hear any cars or trains, despite the proximity to the road/tracks (more on this later). The flat is large and open, which, again, initially sounds and looks great, but I'll come on to that. The beds are large and comfy, the kitchen well-equipped and the bathroom is fine too.

Despite the positives, we didn't have a great stay here. The open nature of the flat means the loft room is also open, with line of sight from the kitchen/entrance to the flat. There's no real feeling of privacy, you hear everything going on in the flat (including the bathroom) and if someone goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night, the light which automatically goes on outside the bathroom is incredibly bright, white and comes on with a loud *click* noise, which certainly left me wide awake every time it happened. The fridge is also loud enough to disturb anybody sleeping in the loft. The real pain though is the heating. I've stayed in and lived in some old houses. I'm used to heating making weird noises. I don't expect or need heating to be silent. What I do need though is for the heating not to whistle loudly (living room heating) or randomly start making drill-like noises in the middle of the night (bathroom). We thought someone was renovating the flat next door, it was deafening and until we worked out what was causing it and turned the heating off, we didn't get back to sleep. We got about 8 hours sleep over 2 nights and left feeling exhausted.

Grote,ruime, schone accommodatie. Perfecte locatie midden in het centrum. De host is heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk.
