Location. Peacefulness. Quality of air. Beautiful view. Friendly hosts.

Not having the soap in the bathroom. I had to buy the soap, yes it was cheap, but come on.

"A really nice place to stay and it is a very good value."

A cozy and comfortable, upstairs apartment with two bathrooms, two bedrooms, and a well-equipped kitchen. After each day of hiking, we relaxed on the balcony and really enjoyed the very lovely mountain view as well as the clean air. The apartment is located on the edge of Berchtesgaden, but it is just a 10 to 15 minute walk to the city center where there is a delightful bakery, a good grocery store, shops, and nice restaurants. The friendly and helpful hosts live downstairs. We enjoyed our week-long stay, and we definitely recommend Gästehaus Kurz.

It was late October and fewer rainy days would have been nice for hiking. There are many steps on the walk up to the Gästehaus from the city center, but after the first day these are not bad at all.
