Platzhirsch Seligenstadt - Im Herzen der Altstadt

The private courtyard, decorated by the host, allowed us to gather local relatives for pizza. The entire village of Seligenstadt is walkable from the apartment— bakeries, butchers, fresh fruit, and veggies a 2-minute walk.

Great location. Owner met us. Clear communication. Everything there - even a wash machine.

The sheets and comforter covers as well as the towels were so perfumed that it was unbearable for us as we are sensitive to chemicals. We had to re-wash everything and keep the windows open to clear the smell. I would suggest using unscented laundry products.

Kathrin, the host, was the nicest person I have ever had the pleasure to know as a host during mine/our travelling experiences. She went out of her way to help with phone calls re my lost luggage too. If I could name the host I would like to have for any apartment stay, Kathrin is the person. The position of the apartment is amazing; walking distance to everything in this divine town of Seligenstadt. A bonus is how close Seligenstadt is to Frankfurt airport, yet it's such an old small town that escaped bombing. This town is so different to the hustle and bustle of the large city of Frankfurt, yet offers so much to the visitor. My husband picked me up and he fell in love with this town as well. We are going to visit Seligenstadt again.

The extra long church bells that rang at 6am; especially annoying for me as I was so jetlagged.
