Clear communication with the host, clean apartment, cozy little village.

The apartment is right next to a somewhat busy road, which means that we had to sleep with earplugs and closed windows.

Very clean, spacious and comfortable apartment, with modern design and everything you may need. Very friendly and helpful host: we asked for some cleaning supplies late in the evening and early in the morning found them next to our door.

We took the smaller apartment. It's on the ground floor and its windows look at the road, and they are are not soundproof. It was reasonably quiet, but if you're a light sleeper, you should probably take the bigger one, with windows into the courtyard. All information in the room was in German. We speak a little German, so we could understand at least the general meaning, but if you don't speak German at all, you'd be lost. Also, under the general instructions, there was quite a long list of things guests must do before leaving (also in German). It's only second time I see such a list in a room, and the first one was also in Upper Franconia. Probably, it's a local tradition, but if so, it's not a good one: one doesn't feel quite welcomed when seeing such lists. Simple "Please, clean the room after yourself" would be enough.
