Facilities are due for refurbishment

The apartment is very large and offers a beautiful view on the river Rhine, that you can enjoy from your balcony. The beds were comfortable and clean. Easy connection to Koblenz by train and bus.

To begin with we did not get the apartment that was shown on the photos on Booking.com. That one seemed to be in a much better condition and nicer furnished. Also, the kitchen in the photos offered more options for preparing your own meal. The kitchen and bathroom had not been cleaned properly. Same thing for the balcony, where the cigarettes of the previous guests were still scattered. Several cupboards and the tap in the kitchen were in such a bad condition that we wondered if they would fall apart while we were using them. Also, there were no glasses available to drink from. The hot water tap would turn cold after a short while. The sink in the bathroom seemed somewhat clogged, so it would fill up quickly if you had the tap open. The curtain in front of the glass balcony door in the larger bedroom was way too short, so it got very light in the room early in the morning. The place was pretty noisy; a restaurant downstairs, trains going right past the kitchen and bathroom window and you could also hear the neighbours very clearly. Wifi was unstable; not good enough to have a video conference call. For the price we were paying I would have expected a much better experience.

its old, bathroom shower didn’t work, entrance is from a back alley, smelly entrance next to large dustbins from the restaurant below, the man who gave us the key was horrible and rude.
