Nice quiet quirky whole of the top of a barn! Great kitchen, lounge, massive comfy bed, incredible bathroom. Stayed here before, will be back in a few days on our return trip

Not much! The stairs up are steep and thin, but we knew this, so fine, but worth mentioning, can be easier backwards, going down! Whilst quiet and away from the main roads, Nature starts early 🤣

Very spacious, good facilities, nice location. Quirky property.

The steep steps could pose a problem to those with mobility issues or heavy luggage. It was fine for our group though.

Big family apartment in the second floor. Fast WIFI. Quiet. Complete kitchen. Separate rooms with separate toilets. Big bathrooms with washing machine and bath tub. Limited interaction with host but check in was smooth despite arriving late in the evening.

Stairs were quite steep. We were with small children and old parents - just need to be careful.

Beautiful, clean and comfortable house with everything you need for staying. The rooms are large and cozy. In addition, hosts own chicken and bee-garden and offer both honey and eggs which you can buy onsite. Everything is natural and tasty, so we continue enjoying it even after we leave the house. Thank you once again for your hospitality!

The Sturmhof is in a beautiful location, with well-tended gardens and mature fruit trees; the site is in a rural location but under 5 minutes by car from Grefrath (and probably walkable, though we didn't try). The apartment itself combines traditional architecture with a quirky layout and modern conveniences: there's a fully equipped kitchen with all the necessities that you don't want to have to buy for a short stay, like salt, oil and herbs/spices. The rooms are all well proportioned with no shortage of space and each has a TV. In the building there's even a little corner where you can buy drinks and local produce and there's a supermarket in the town if you need more. Grefrath is a pleasant small town, which also has restaurants and a bakery and a range of other amenities. The owners were there to meet us when we arrived around 9pm to hand over the keys and show us around and also responded quickly when we asked questions via the booking.com app. There are many thoughtful touches to the accommodation and what's been made available e.g. shopping bags provided. From a personal perspective, the location is well-positioned to break the journey from Dunkirk to Hamburg. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

It's not a complaint, but it's worth being aware that the (listed/protected) stairs up to the 1st floor apartment are very steep and could be a problem for the infirm or disabled
