Great location, majestic views, decent activities for kids

Service is exceedingly poor. Essentially, the staff at this hotel, including the restaurant, are a mix of old hands and people who don't know a spoon from a fork. As a result, service was almost always terrible at the restaurant (getting orders horribly wrong, bringing desserts to the table before appetisers, taking exceedingly long to serve a course even after reminding the wait staff several times). Ganesh , Adarsh and a couple of others at the restaurant were good, rest of those who served us were simply incompetent. As others have mentioned, buggy service can be unreliable, but that's less of an issue if you plan ahead On day 2, we spotted fresh rat droppings in the pantry in our room. Given it is a forest area, maybe there's some wiggle room on "wildlife" in rooms, but the subsequent changing of rooms was handled terribly. The surroundings were truly divine, but the horrible service and hygiene issues ruined it for me.

It is a great relaxing property

Location as a whole its superb. Food was good. The property is located in midst of Rain forest zones of Western Ghats.
