No Kettle

No breakfast. Would have appreciated a kettle in the room

Great bed, large and well appointed room, great location, easily accessed (lift), good kitchen, plenty of (enclosed) storage space, numerous, well positioned power points and nice balcony. The room temperature was easily controlled both by air conditioning and by opening the door to the balcony. All fittings were new or nearly new. There was plenty of cutlery and crockery for two people. The room had a refrigerator which was audible, but not intrusive. The kitchen had an efficient microwave and a rapid two-ring induction-hob which was clean and efficient but the room had no conventional oven. There were ample clothes-washing facilities in the basement. Full dish-washing facilities were present except there was no drying rack. The accommodation supplied earplugs which, in their words were to mitigate its central town location, but thse were not needed as ambient sound was not intrusive. Property is about 300m from the town's railway station very close to many shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. Heidenheim is a beautiful and vibrant town and the castle is very nice but not exceptional for that part of Germany.

Property lacked a kettle, but water could be boiled in a pan on the hob very rapidly. The shower was o.k. but there was no rack for bottles or soap. the door to the shower opened outwards ans soaked the shower mat, there was no rubber shower mat within the shower and the shower-floor was a bit slippery. The main room had net curtains but the main curtains only covered 25% of the window so both privacy and early morning light were a little problemmatic.

Very sweet location

It was a nice, big apartment. Clean, nice furniture.

of course it is loud around and you cannot open the window in the night. It is located in the city center.

The hotels location is good and it was nice to have a little kitchen although I didn't have the time to use it.
