Wagenburg-Solling

It was the stop of our 1-week fairytale journey. We had an incredibly good time. dear Doreen and her sweet son Vincent made us feel at home. We stayed one night in our clean and pleasant room, surrounded by nature. We definitely recommend it, we will definitely stay longer this time.

The concert that was scheduled for that night had to be canceled due to a major storm coming through the area, which meant I had the entire place to myself and, except for a couple that inquired about the Wagenburg before the storm broke, I did not see anypone until the next morning. It was exceptionally peaceful despite (or maybe just because) of the storm, which was a spectacle in itself and made my stay thoroughly enjoyable! I will be back (again and again!)

The wagons are very well equipped, but I keep forgetting that no shampoo or showergel is provided, which is common in most places. It might be a great idea to attach a refillable (Duschgel-Shampoo 2-in-1) dispenser in the shower (but definitely NOT the individual bottles that are so common in hotels since they are a total environmental disaster due to the huge amount of plastic waste!).
