My Dominicus Beach Retreat

Apartment with A/C in the living room and both bedrooms. All utilities we could need at the property. Beautiful swimming pools right in front of the apartment, with beach towels provided by the property. The complex security and staff in general were very welcoming. Owner very nice, responsive and helpful.

Unfortunately we had ants issue in the apartment on a couple of days, but we have to say that as soon as we mentioned to the owner we had someone coming over immediately with special product to help keep them away.

This is a very clean and very comfortable apartment on a gorgeous new complex about a10-minute walk to the beach. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay and the owner was always available and helpful. She allowed us to check in early and check our late and helped us to organise a fun trip to Saona island. The complex itself is brand new and quite stunning. When we were there, there was still some construction work underway, which could, at times be a little noisy, but nothing that got in the way of our enjoyment of the place.

The only small things worth mentioning are that there are no sun umbrellas at the complex, which means that there is a bit of a fight for shade. Hopefully, as the palm trees grow, this will become less of an issue, but it did mean that we spent large parts of our relaxation moving about trying to avoid the direct heat of the sun. Also, as the complex becomes busier, sun loungers might become a little scarce. That said, there were enough for our stay abd we had a wonderful, relaxing time.

Location is not far from the beach. Security is exceptional. The pools are amazing. The host is super responsive.

The sofa can fit a young kid, not an adut.

This accommodation was our last one of our 3 weeks’ vacation in DR (first time in the country), and we stayed here for 4 nights. The accommodation was a great choice as a last stop before returning home, for relaxation and privacy. Our host Bersaida was very helpful also before our arrival in DR, she helped with many good advices of what places to visit and what to avoid. Her suggestions made our holiday fantastic. The accommodation exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely come back if we travel to DR again. The apartment is big and spacious, everything is new, fresh and very clean. There are 2 bedrooms with large very comfy beds, A/C, commode and wardrobe in each bedroom. One bedroom has separate bathroom and balcony, the second bathroom is just outside the other bedroom. Kitchen and dining room with big dining table, one extra sofa, smart TV with large range of channels, A/C. WiFi is excellent in dining area and on terrace, but in the bedrooms not the best connection. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking, a big refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and water. Wash machine, iron, hair dryer, very soft towels both for shower and for the pool area. Pool area and garden is maintained daily by staff,everything is very clean, grass is soft and plants are beautiful. Security 24/7, no possibility to enter the community for strangers. Parking available at entrance to the community and also under security. Also, during the trip, I got an injury, and Bersaida helped to contact different clinics to book a visit for me since we do not speak Spanish. Thank you very much Bersaida for all your help. Dominicus beach is about about 15-20 minutes walking distance, a few minutes by car. It is possible to park around beach area and beach is open for public even though it is surrounded by resorts. There are restaurants, cafes, shops, hairdressers close by. Also food delivery is available.
