The location is very good, the balcony is nice and the bed is comfortable. The room is spacious and clean enough.

It is not possible to take a shower; it's cold or you will get burned. On Saturday there's a concert above your head and the music is so loud it's like it is they are playing in the room. The bathroom smells very bad and the doors are to low for tall people to pass underneath.

The location was good geographically. But poor as it is sandwiched between a Restaurant and a bar.

The host lied to us 3 times. 1st he agreed to supply transport to Otavlo from Quito. When this did not arrive we rang him and he offered to pay for a taxi to take us to Otavalo. When we arrived in Otavalo he refused to pay and actually charged us double the cost of a taxi. (we found the real cost when we taxied back to Quito) We asked about the noise from the Bar and Restaurant and he assured us it was finished b 10pm (that was fine) However it finished after12 and at 1am we still had staff screaming at each other outside our door. We asked to be released from the stay and he agreed. We agreed on a refund yet when his messenger arrived the refund was 30% below the agreed price. When we rang him he said he changed his mind and to take the lower amount or get nothing.

our room had a sewer smell from the bathroom. couldn’t get rid of it. had to check out early and get another hotel

The fridge didn't work, was told it would be fixed next day. Then in morning there wasn't any hot water to shower. Was told it would be fixed. By evening it wasn't. They said they needed to get gas. When gas tank was changed that night there still wasn't any hot water. The fridge never worked. The floors were very squeaky, the bathroom door as well. So they moved us to a different room. This was Friday night. There's a club in the building so there was music and noise until about 1 AM. So it was hard to sleep. And, the host that let us in said we needed to pay cash, we did but he didn't have change. He said he would get us change later. But we never got it.
