Excellent place to stay on the malecon! Yes, the room has a balcony with a great view of the tallest building in Ecuador! The bed was very comfortable, I slept very well. Very secure building, very helpful staff. Room had coffee, sugar and tea. Some reviewers complain it's loud, you are staying right on the boardwalk, hello! If techno at 2am is going to bother you look further south on the malecon where there are less restaurants. Excellent value for an apartment as opposed to a hotel. Protips: unlike the rest of Ecuador, all of the restaurants on the malecon do not include IVA/tax in their prices! That 15%+ 10% service charge they all add on makes your items 25% more than they are on the menu, be careful! I ate out for every meal, most of the restaurants are pretty mediocre honestly and are more about the drinks than the food. I would highly suggest Negroni which is located on the top floor of said tallest building in Ecuador!! Easily the best sushi I've had in Ecuador, and comes in about the same price as a normal run of the mill sushi spot in the States, except more fish, better presentation and service, and the view is unreal!!! The Takura is a great value. Don't miss it, you will spend similar amount for very mediocre food at majority of the restaurants at ground level.

There's only 2 stores for supplies in the area and they both close at 10:30, so don't plan on getting a bottle of water or wine after your dinner!

The apartment was spacious for our family of three. Building, facilities, and apartment were nice and clean. The location was close to everything.

Shower floor tile could be cleaned better. Everything else was spotless.

The view is amazing! Kitchen is a good size, bathroom was clean. Host had free coffee and tea with a coffee maker. I had access to the gym and rooftop pool. Location is great! Very close to Malecón, shops, Puerto Santa Ana.

we were expecting a balcony room but got a two-bedroom unit, which we didn't need. The stove in the kitchen was filthy, and several dishes in the cabinets had old food on them. Frying pans were in poor shape with burned-on food. There was no washer or dryer, and the host charged me to have clothes laundered. The lobby staff spoke very little English.

Nice restaurants on the board walk - very close.

There was some confusion upon arrival. I thought that this was a hotel so some confusion about the room and payment; I'll put it down to my Spanish. They did require exact change.
