Marfolín 34

Lovely property right on the beach, well equipped kitchen which is great for us as we like to cook whilst we are away. There are supermarkets around and the better one is the bigger dino store at the entrance to the village although the spar in the middle was well stocked too for a little supermarket, We stayed in November so didn’t use the pool but for those that like to lay around a pool it was kept very clean. The weather was mid 20’s so we made the most of the terrace and sea views. The sea is a little chilly at that time of year but it was lovely to cool off. The vegan restaurant ‘happy cactus’ underneath is worth a visit but there is also a paella restaurant and a steak restaurant as well as some snack bars. There are more restaurants near the harbour which some you may need to book ahead. We have a very nice coffee and brunch at Tritons.

If we had to mark the property down it would be that there is no air con, yes it’s a windy island so windows can be opened but as it’s above bars and restaurants that means excess noise and cooking smells coming in. That being said there are ceiling fans if you can manage with that. Could do with some sun lounger cushions as the bars poke through making them a little uncomfortable. Most places we stay in this price range have a smart tv that we can connect to for tv and music for those lazy evenings in but the tv in the apartment was standard with a few German channels, only uk bbc news and a temperamental remote control. Nothing disastrous but things to note depending on your needs. Not sure we would stay again as it was quite pricey and to not have those few things that we usually like to have for that price (approx €1400 for a week). I guess you pay for the seafront location so don’t let our needs put you off as it’s a lovely apartment and the hosts that we met were very nice and helpful. The area is up and coming so yes there are building works around but that is to be expected.

Marfolín 34 offered a comfortable and well-equipped apartment that catered to all our needs. The space was clean, modern, and spacious, providing us with a perfect home away from home. The kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to prepare meals, and the living areas were cozy and inviting. One of the standout features of Marfolín 34 was the rooftop area. We thoroughly enjoyed having the ability to BBQ on the roof, which was a unique and delightful experience. The rooftop also provided ample space for the three of us to sunbathe in peace, making it a perfect spot to relax during the day. Additionally, the views of the beach from the roof were breathtaking, and we spent many evenings watching the stunning sunsets. The location of Marfolín 34 was ideal. Situated in El Cotillo, we had easy access to the beach and could walk out in the evenings to enjoy the local scenery and ambiance. The proximity to the beach and local amenities made our stay incredibly convenient and enjoyable. The service we received was excellent. The hosts were attentive and responsive, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Any queries or requests were promptly addressed, adding to the overall positive experience. Our stay at Marfolín 34 was memorable and enjoyable. The combination of excellent accommodation, fantastic amenities, and a prime location made it an ideal choice for our family holiday. We highly recommend Marfolín 34 to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-equipped place to stay in El Cotillo.

While our stay at Marfolín 34 was overwhelmingly positive, there were a couple of minor inconveniences. Occasionally, we noticed a faint smell of cooking from the restaurants on the ground floor of the apartment block. However, it was not nearly as bothersome as some previous guests had suggested and did not significantly impact our experience. Additionally, the cushions on the rooftop chairs could have been more comfortable, as they lacked sufficient padding and filling. This minor issue could be easily improved to enhance the overall comfort of the rooftop area. Despite these small drawbacks, they were not significant enough to deter us from wanting to return. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to the possibility of returning to Marfolín 34 next year. The positives far outweighed the negatives, making it a highly recommended spot for a relaxing family holiday.

excellent location next to long sandy beaches very well equipped modern apartement lovely roof top tarrace to both sides of the building

smell of cooking oil coming from kitchens of restaurants below + some noise of restaurants guests till midnight. The smell didnot allow to sleep with open windows all the night. Appartaments in this building looking to the the other site (pooland beach) are perfect.
